@geraldonunez1183 I ordered mine 8 hours after reservations went up and mine came in about 4 weeks ago. Just for a reference. I think timing varies by model as well though. I grabbed a 256 which I think are the lowest reserved and may have gone out quicker. I did not expect to be Q2, even if I was near the end of it.

yes absolutely,no matter what anyone says, you use less power when you reduce the screen refresh rate....now whether you see those benefits obvious in every game? I would say no

I just started to play this on my steam deck and I can confirm that it is playing very well when I scale down the mesh quality one notch.

Just turning the settings down a bit works fine :)

I went ahead and changed every setting to a tick below default and have enjoyed a somewhat locked 40fps with small dips in a few sections

Thanks for video. I first heard of Stray before the Steam Deck even, and am so glad this came to PC as it looked at one point to be a PS exclusive. Fantastic that it got verified before release. I've had a quick look on my Steam Deck, but thanks for the settings suggestions too.

Seems DOF is the main culprit with the biggest drops. Thankfully those seem to be only during cutscenes. No DOF specific slider though. Probably grouped into the "Effects" setting.

My settings worked great for me, from the default settings: In-game - uncap fps and disable v-sync SteamOS: refresh rate 60 and fps capped at 30 You will get 30 solid fps all the time with gorgeous graphics

I've done uncapped, vsync on, disable motion blur, medium settings, 80% Res scale. Deck is 40hz, no frame limit, no tdp or GPU clock settings Stays locked at 40 after you clear the start with vegetation as the shadows are pretty heavy on GPU. Not using the decks frame limiter also means input feels great, that adds a bit too much latency for me especially with 30fps, 40hz with in game vsync is how I play most games and it feels great

I run it with vsync off and unlimited fps. Set 30 fps on the steam deck. For resolution scaling I set it to 100 and high settings for everything and low motion blur. The game runs like crap on the steam deck tbh but these were the best settings for me. Think ima just install it on my pc instead.

@jamyjet Thats why i said 90% of games but as soon as companies move from crossgen games to current gen games only, the steam deck v1 will suffer with newer games as it will not recieve optimized ports like the switch does for example. I hope devs optimize for the deck because i want to buy one but that depends on sales and the availabilty to buy one suck ass.

@ivand5699 What are you on about. God of War and Shadow of the Tomb Raider are games that run pretty great on deck and better than this game. It's just not got the optimisation that those games have.

@jamyjet What did you expect? in PC 90% of games lack console like optimization and the steam deck is as today a very low end PC that on top is running the proton emulator... I bet the switch 2 will have better graphics and frame rate even with less ram and almost equal hardware.

Gamers unhappy not getting 60fps on AAA titles on a handheld 😂. It’s working with 25 watts, guys. 25 watts! What it’s able to do with that power budget is astonishing. And 40 fps feels much closer to 60 than 30. Most games look great and are more than playable at 40.​@RsomfsordjsMangvo40066gbbf

The Ps4 is still slightly more powerful but the deck does have a more superior cpu compared to ps4's slow Amd jaguar and has a more up to date computing architecture

I think week one is a little rough. Most games don't get all the kinks ironed out until after the first week of release even on intended hardware. Just lots of variables and little bugs and performance issues that crop up. I can understand wanting more out of the game industry and I agree. I think in a weeks time when a patch has come out possibly fixing issues and it is still dipping below 30 fps we can be a bit more angry. I think you where pretty fair here just bringing up my personal opinion on the matter! Great video thanks for making deck content!!
