Can you try Wasteland 3 on Steam Deck? I think it would be a great game for the Deck (the native Linux version is rated as Playable, it would be verified, were it not for the on-screen keyboard not popping up automatically)

Thanks for covering this! Dropping to the Medium preset (Xbox One runs the game around Medium-High settings) or running the ingame FSR at Ultra Quality should lock the game to 30fps. Considering how intensive the game is, and how much better it looks than Switch, it's definitely a success on Deck.

I've finished this game on desktop Linux without a single problem, so I'm not surprised it runs well on Steam Deck too. Just wanted to add that I highly recommend playing this game with headphones. Especially, if you have good ones. It really changes the experience.

Can you use the Steam Deck as a wireless controller on your Linux PC Steam client via Remote Play? An example video of that would be great if it works! Basically an expensive Steam Controller 2? For when you want to use it that way? Which I could see being a thing, since it looks like a pretty good controller period

I don’t know if they’ve updated this game specifically for the Deck lately, but I installed yesterday and am running a solid 45fps at native resolution on Ultra with raytracing turned on and set to Ultra.
