Yup, definitely still set to Proton Experimental on my desktop. Not sure why they could not have set it for desktop linux as well, but I do understand that the Deck is their main priority.

Yeah, I said in the video, on desktop you need to force Proton Hotfix as it's only set by default for the Steam Deck.

The fix on the deck is the same for desktop, if necessary just change the compatibility in the options, but since they will change it soon, there's no need

I been having similar problems with Dying Light 2 with it's latest update and I've tried all kind of things from uninstall to reinstall to using different protons on the steam deck but with no luck. Can you help me buddy?

Had I known about the proton issues with the steam deck I would have better got a console instead. Too much incompatbility issues with proton. Should of make a universal or standard for all games. Buyer beware, better luck with either PS5 or Xbox for those of you like me who has very little knowledge with computer.

There is no universal standard for games. You can thank Microsoft and all the consoles being locked down boxes for that.

is there any way to get the custom game setting to work in complete offline mode boot on halo infinite? if any one knows how to get the custom games running wirhout internet please let me know. FOR STEAM DECK.

@@Videogamearcade yeah you have to be connected to the internet to play an offline match for some reason on the steam deck halo. it doesnt let you access the game modes and maps to start an local play custom game.

I'm still waiting for Halo MCC to get a fix for the anticheat. I love playing the custom game browser and it's unfortunate that we haven't gotten an update on it yet.

Is the forge beta working on steam deck. I have a linux desktop, the game is running but when I try to launch forge it just crashes.

I was able to enter forge mode on deck, but for some reason the controls switched to pc mode or something, I wasn't able to move but I could look around

Just reseted to factory and installed, it works ! You dont have to delete any videos in ordners or change system update channel. Great video

The game works fine, when it’s plugged in and charging, but when I try playing, while the deck is unplugged, the screen freezes, game is still running and the steam deck restarts by itself after a while.
