well that was fast. I was just reading someone commenting on one of your other videos asking for a test of the magnifier. Great job. I already loved gamingonlinux, but it has very quickly become the definitive source of steam deck content on youtube simply because of quantity, and then it's quality content on top of that. good job. Also love that you're streaming stuff on twitch. I really wish there were more streamers using it right now. When I get mine in, Q2 sad gang (T＿T), I'm definitely going the same route of plugging it in to my hdmi capture card and streaming some.

@@gamingonlinux Could you probably try out a personal favourite of mine? Altitude, it's free on steam! I know it definitely runs fine as its 2D and has native support on Linux, just curious on how the controls play out on the Deck. You could probably make a ~5 min video of the tutorial

The versatility is astonishing. I remember using similar magnifying tools on my small 11 inch laptop thanks to Compiz. Glad to see this tool is easily available but ... a bit hidden. I seen some reviewers mentioning the small text but never mentioning the zoom feature. So they probably were unaware. I feel that future versions (or patches) for PC RPGs and grand Strategy will probably become more accessible and easier to play with a Deck or on small screens. While still maintaining most of the depth of a traditional PC game and not getting too dumbed down like on mobile

Probably not very well, I feel it you temper your expectations and reduce galaxy size and empire density it should run fine

CSGO had controller support for years. It was always dogshit and misconfigured. Can we see it in action on the steam deck? I know this is a bit odd but idk, feels like something I would try if I could get a steam deck. (Planning on getting one this Christmas, I am saving some money, and in talks with a retailer because valve doesn't ship to my country).

It's quite painful seeing the pads used as a mouse as he has to swipe three times to even bring the pointer across. I really don't think anyone is going to play something like this long on the deck

That is because no tweaks were done. You can change the sensitivity as much as you want, this was a very basic test

The part looks like it would be the solution to my problem. I love Stellaris and Civ but once I've put the kids to bed at night I don't want to get off the couch. But I'm wondering if something like Stellaris can be controlled satisfactorily with the Steam Deck? Just because it works doesn't mean it works well. can someone tell us about their experiences with a whole round of Stellaris?

I been playing Civilization V, i got VI pero I went back to V... Interested in this game too though, is it controller friendly like civ on deck? Or is there keyboard tweaks needed to be done on the controlz
