It would have been nice if you gave a shoutout to the user "Jason" who pointed this out under your previous video. I've been using Disk Usage Analyzer ever since I read his comment a few days ago and I was curious to see if this was something even better. Anyway, thanks for all these videos that you've been making lately on tips and tricks to make the Linux experience better, they've been a huge help.

@@gamingonlinux For sure, I just remembered that your reply to Jason was something like "that shouldn't be possible" and so I was a bit hesitant before giving Disk Usage Analyzer a try. It turned out to be the better option for the Steam Deck in the end so it would have been nice to give him some credit for that imho. Not gonna start a fight over it, I still appreciate your work immensely.

As a Linux user of over 15+ years, I was well aware of this application long before Jason mentioned it ;) I just covered Filelight initially since it's what I personally use right now being on KDE but I've used Disk Usage Analyser plenty when on GNOME. Plus, I had discussions on DUA in other places. Just because I choose to engage on YouTube too as a creator, doesn't mean the people I reply to are first to mention something. Hope that clears it up.

@@ChrisD__ Both are Flatpak, except Disk Usage Analyser has permissions setup correctly to begin with.

@@gamingonlinux We're you using the flatpak for Filelight. I'm not sure why baobab worked when Filelight didn't.

They were likely downvoted for the attitude of telling people to use something else, rather than being polite about having more options. People always act like that, the whole "my option is better".

Could you maybe make a video about the compdata folder? At the moment it's 72gig for me, mostly leftovers from uninstalled games as I understand it.. but I have no idea which folder belongs to what game and which ones I can safely delete :)

@@JimmyCall nope, for Steam Deck it would require unlocking the filesystem and I don't suggest anyone does that
