Awesome, I saw a post on Reddit about getting it up and running a few days ago, and I was wondering how it played and what the benefit of using DevilutionX is over just installing it from Heroic and running it. I installed it with Lutris a few years ago and played a little bit, and it worked fine, even with pulling and installing mods. So other than game pad support, what else does DevilutionX offer that the game through GOG doesn't?

How do I make it Hellfire. It isn't Hellfire in this video. Its just Diablo. I don't see how to choose Hellfire?? Let me know if you can figure it out!

@@seaneller5505 assuming u followed the video exactly, the folder u should put the files in is the diablo folder which contains the hellfire folder where u grabbed the four files from (basically put the files where ur diablo.mpq is)

u go into the hellfire folder of the game and copy and paste the four hellfire files like the mpqs and drag them into the folder where the appimage is

I was trying to get this working, Thank you! The alternative is to download a PSX emu, which also has controller support. That's how i got D1 running on the FunkeyS haha

God, it looks awful... But IT'S SO MUCH FUN!! Even by nowadays standards. Diablo is the sort of game that even Blizzard could not recreate, because they don't seem to know how too anymore. What are the odds of the Bobafette Trainer still working on the Steam Deck?

Yes, DevilutionX supports Hellfire as well. Just place the 4 MPQ files from Hellfire in the same folder.

I have an issue. I added the appimage and mpq files, and the first time i launched the appimage it gave me the menu to select hellfire or diablo. now everytime it forces me into hellfire unless i remove the mpqs. i've tried deleting and redownloading the appimage, tred removing at recopying the mpqs. still forces me into hellfire
