How about the sleep bug? When putting the deck to sleep upon wake the game and Ubisoft connect will freeze requiring a hard reboot? Really curious if anyone has an answer haven't found a solution when I tried playing before not on steam.

@@gamingonlinux I just tried it again after updating to SteamOS 3.4 and no longer had this issue. I guess it was solved by whatever they did here "Fixed issues with sleep / wake for a number of titles."

Haven't seen that issue on SteamOS 3.4. Did some dedicated testing on it today and across four sleep and wake up (left for different times), it worked fine on every one. Tried it quickly multiple times, and left for many minutes other times - no issues here.

@@Soraviel Yeah i got bored and stopped at 100 hours played and was still only like level 125 with the "end game" region being level 340 if i recall. I really enjoyed Odyssey but Valhalla didn't do it for me.

I kind of want to double dip, now that's it's on Steam - just so I have easy access on my Steam Deck... ... but then I remember the nightmare that is AC Odyssey where I've re-bought it 2x and then returned it 2x because the game just won't launch on the Steam Deck.

@@danquaza9275 Basically the ubisoft launcher won't launch the game. The second time around I bought it, there was no option to install it to the Steam Deck, just windows. It would show up on my list of games on the Steam Deck itself but the option to install was unavailable.

Was kinda bummed I couldn’t play this on my Deck because I had it on Ubisoft plus, (finally got around to starting it last week) saw it was coming to Steam but didn’t want to buy it all when I already have it. That said they did the right thing and launched it at a great price. Bought it, going to download to the deck when I get home. Will saves transfer? I’m rather early on if not.

I just tried playing Origins on my deck. It ran but seemed to really thrash the CPU hard enough that the fan was always pretty loud. Have you noticed this with Valhalla?

Ubisoft games seems to wanna blow up my PC and now the Deck as well, after some thinker I got Odyssey running butter smooth and excellent graphics quality, it looks a lot better than on PS4 pro. No luck with Ghost Recon wildlands, and now AC Valhalla as well, which straight up crashes after a little bit. The only games running trashy on my PC and Deck. Even a game like F1 2022 which I thought would run my PC like crazy, actually runs excellent and the graphics again, better than the PS4 pro version Something about Ubisoft games, makes me lose confidence in buying them in the future, seems like they are horribly optimized on PC

SteamDeck reviews are great, but testing on desktop linux with Nvidia and AMD GPUs would be *extremely* helpful. Right now ProtonDB has 4 reviews of the game black-screening on Nvidia, nothing for AMD. As probably the single best Linux gaming resource on the planet, you could be filling in a huge gap by providing that information. Please consider this for future content.

I am so happy that I waited right now. I almost bought it on uplay last sale, but I figured that I was too busy to start a playthrough in the coming time. And now it's on Steam! With your deck having the “preview” preset, stable preset won’t work? The game just freezes on me once it’s on the logo screen. Twice in a row now actually where it freezes
