Do you mean you don't know how the game is played? I've only played the original Crusader Kings, but you basically play as the dynasty of a kingdom, duchy, or some other political entity. There's no actual "goal" in the game, but the most obvious thing you can do is try to expand your dynasty's power by inheriting the titles of other realms (other kingdoms, other duchies, etc.) via marriage or intrigues, or seizing such titles by force. You lose the game if another dynasty inherits your titles or conquers them.

Curious how performance is on these cpu heavier games if I use the deck as my main pc docked at a monitor with keyboard and mouse, running off sd card (base deck model). I've not got a modern pc right now and this kind of portable pc suits me but I'd like to play football manager, crusader kings, europa universalis etc.

The interface looks fine to me on handheld, of course it is bound to be small because it's a smaller screen but outside of when you were in magnifier mode there was no scaling of the interface off-screen.

I think it's going to depend on how good your eyesight is. It looks perfectly fine to me, but there will likely be some rare cases where I'd have to zoom in.

Seems fine to me? I could run it with the first UI setting just fine but that could just be me and my fetish of small UI being best UI. Still, while the big UI definitely needs some work it's not like it's actually unplayable, you just drag the windows up or use the shortcuts.

Just reserved a $650 Steamdeck I definitely can't afford... luckily it's Q3 and I have time to try and earn it I guess... I hear it's compatible with a keyboard and mouse. I have the perfect tiny mouse and tiny foldable keyboard. I'm excited to never be bored on a lunch break at work ever again!

I kinda like this because my vision in some games like CK3 makes it hard to focus and a precise zoom in and out would make it a loot better to focus when playing.
