FPS seem all over the place. Wouldn’t think this would struggle on the deck.

I dont visibly see any stuttering with the pixels. Its not a hard action game that requires steady frames. I bet you could lock it to 20 frames and it would still look the same

@gamingonlinux While true, the CPU in this case never goes beyond 20%, whilst the GPU is maxed out. In this case, there’s certainly some poor performance/optimisation issues going on. It should definitely run better.

Graphics aren't really an indicator of performance, games can be pixel-art and still do huge calculations requiring CPU time.

I should check this game out. Thx for the gameplay. I have a question. Can I connect the Steamdeck to a capture card to my PC but keep the screen from the deck on to play directly on the deck and not the PC screen?

Not in Gaming Mode no but you can in Desktop Mode as you can clone the screen but Desktop Mode does not give you full performance.

This or Temtem.... The only reason these other monster catching/battle games don't catch on is the brand recognition Pokémon has. I'd love to get into these. But without friends playing as well, they feel so hollow ;n;

Performance is a shame for such a game, especially since this is supposed to come out for Switch too. But for now we could limit it to locked 30 which isn't too bad for a pixel game, so... It could be worse I guess?
