I’m down for all of these except Binding Of Isaac, never found it anything but boring and monotonous. Love Edmund’s other games though.

@@ianONTOP1 the difference is that Mario is FUN and fluid to control, and every level is different. Isaac is a chore to control and every level is the same.

Hey! could you please how some games run on the deck for me? namely neptinua rebirth 1-3 and VII(regular not VIIR) Being after q3 sucks... I can't wait to thinker with my deck.

@@SZ_99 cool thanks! I asked because on Reddit someone was not able to make VII work and even on proton db noone says its working properly. But I guess the rebirth games work just fine. Glad to hear.

I've tried nep 2 on it, had to use proton-GE to get it to open properly but everything ran completely fine and beat the game on it (you have to use the touch screen to enable gamepad though, or use a community controller layout but it's no biggie). Nep 3 is the same deal, didn't test if it worked on proton 7.0-2 since I just went straight to using GE again but it also runs fine

Hi. I am in despair. When I install Guardians of the Galaxy with the Epic Games Launcher in GameMode on the Steam deck, it runs with twice the performance as in desktop mode and installed via Lutris. I have tried all Wine versions tips and tricks including WINE_CPU configurations etc.. I can't get the game to run in desktop mode with the same performance. It's like the CPU is only running at half power. Can it be that in GameMode drivers are addressed that do not exist in desktop mode?

@@gamingonlinux I already tried changing the wine CPU configuration in lutris and system wide in profile.conf to 8:0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7. I don't measure any affects.

@@Atonsha But you can use a keyboard and mouse on gamemode, and could just switch to desktop if you need to. At any rate, my only advice would be to make sure your default configuration doesn't have a tdp limit.

@@Eduardo-ig6qm It's more convenient to use the Steam Deck in a keyboard-mouse-monitor-setup on a real desktop rather than on GameMode. The point is, that there seems to be some kind of boost, CPU, GPU, driver related stuff going on that I can't access on desktop mode.

Its bizarre that the most played games are mostly shitty indie titles that you can literally play anywhere else. I get Elden Ring and The Witcher but the rest of that trash? Why?

Because they're not shitty games. You can play them literally anywhere because there has been consistent demand driving ports of them to every platform (with the exception of Desk Job, which is a tech demo designed specifically for the Deck). They are critically acclaimed games, widely acknowledged as truly excellent game design. The fact that they are not graphically intensive means they run better on any hardware (including the Deck) and they are all also pretty controller-friendly.

I totally get this list, because personally the games I play the most on my Deck are Slay the Spire and Vampire Survivors. Both of those games are just perfect for the Deck.
