I've never, ever, had an issue across three different JSAUX docks with this. People seem to keep buying really bad quality chargers. You pay for what you get.

It takes a fair bit of work and have choices between doing the sudo fu yourself, or using the install kit from Jsaux and reading the instructions. As noted, in Desktop Mode, creating the partition on the KDE partition manager does create the partition, but the partition choices may affect permissions and may not allow read/write permissions unless created or edited with those permissions

How are you saving 50 bucks? Do you know what's usually the price of a good nvme enclosure? Plus, will it look as slick? Having the nvme drive within the dock itself removes unnecessary clutter on your setup. I think the price is justified, it may be a bit on the pricy side but the official dock does not make the price justice specifically. Better go for the basic jsaux dock or even the recently released updated jsaux dock with both hdmi and display port for less than the official dock's MSRP price.

Gen2 3.1 ports would be a better recommendation to use for plugs, but even then this is untested territory and reports are sparse considering how many people owning external GPUs being used for laptops or other light computers.

If it was Thunderbolt maybe... but its not, and there isn't enough bandwidth available with that port to run an external GPU that would be any benefit.

according to Jsaux, the M.2 bay has rated continuous speed of 900mb/s, which is slow in comparison to theoretical max of NVMe, but we can get away with use of SATA SSDs if speed is of no issue in a good chunk of games.

Could be 10 to 20 Gbps as far as i understand ? But afaik, even loading times from the internal m.2 aren't that much faster than from a MicroSD card so the bottleneck is elsewhere. But nevertheless, nice dock if you want to use it!

The JSAUX Protective Standing Case doesn't fit in the HD0604 (which I bought in August, together). Given its thickness looks the same (I ordered my KS case too late to get it right now, it's postponed to Q1-2 afaik); I'll sadly hereby have to tell you that it probably doesn't fit. I don't like taking it off either..
