Hi liam, can you Contact valve , or at least make a video about the "updates that broke verified/playable games on the steam deck" thing? because its scaling fast latelly with F1 22, and now Red dead 2 wich doesn't work anymore on the deck due to the last game update, and that is getting people the feel that is so dangerous to buy games for the deck even if they are verified cuz a random update can break them and valve isn't getting responability for it refusing to refund the games in those cases... . So i think we have to use all tools we have to Contact valve and let they know about that in order they start working on a solution, being that accepting refunds, letting us to block updates, or working fast to repare the games when this happens, at least on the most mainstream ones, because if they don't do anything, the thing is going to scale and to ruin all the effort they have put in the marketing of the deck from the beggining.

@@gamingonlinux Yes, the Game runs with bleeding edge, but with constant crashes, because the only proton that avoids crashes is the 6.3.8 and now you can't run the game with it. The problem is the verification system, because without it , it would be more dificult to protest, but if you have a game listad as verified , so you buy it, and play for 5 hours or so, and then an update comes out and breaks it, and no one do nothing for fixing it, and the Game continues to be listed as verified, and on top of that, valve refueses to refund the game (that is the exact case with f1 22)...it could be considered some sort of scam , and it's going to scale fast if valve doesn't change their refund policies at leasts.

This was always going to be an issue. It's part of the problem of Proton, it's a translation layer so the majority of games aren't built for Linux / Steam Deck. Either Valve needs to get faster at fixing Proton, or the Steam Deck needs to sell a huge amount more for developers to actually test it. As for RDR2, I believe Proton Experimental will run it still with the bleeding-edge Beta.
