I loved this game, it is so much fun! I played between PC and XBOX when it was released. Just to let you know that this has had a history of performance problems on PC, specifically with DX12. I noticed you did this video using DX12. In the settings, you should drop it down to DX11, and see how things fare with performance. Thanks for the vid!

The game seems to be hard capped to 30 fps, and poorly as well. Would DX11 fix that?

It's a setting you have so turn off for the game to run above 30fps

@@syatek If i had a steam deck I'd love to help. My theory was DX11 mode might fix the problem. Did you try that /confirm if its already in dx11 mode?

Have you or anyone figured out how to get 60 fps? I lowered all settings to low and set resolution scale at 50% and it still was a 30 cap :\

The performance issue might be tied to the settings used. Too bad the uploader did not show results with lower settings for comparison.

Hi Liam, do you have Grim Dawn by any chance? It runs beautifully on Linux (including multiplayer). It supports the steam controller I believe? It also has a UI size slider so the health, mana bar etc. Sizes can be adjusted. Not sure about text though. Might be a good one try?

@@TheDuke1231 GD works just fine on steam deck. I have over 400hrs in the game, not all on steam deck but plenty to know if it works or not. Runs it better than my desktop tbh.

Hello, I have seen your video because I plan to buy this machine, it would be the one for €679 since I can afford it, I have seen that you can control the values for the games, but my question is if the console gets too hot without changing parameters and finally the desktop mode from there I guess you can browse the internet and use it like a normal computer if I want to download dolphin I can do it from there or you have to use its discover application yes or if that's all forgive all the text but I want to inform myself well Thank you.

I really enjoyed the ascent but at launch it ran like shit on pc so i played it on the series x I haven’t tried it lately but i really enjoyed the game and mainstream reviewers were a bit hard on it in my opinion.
