Immortals Fenyx Rising is now on Steam and can run on #SteamDeck but theres a number of problems, so not going to recommend it right now. Really enjoyed this game on Switch but I know it runs a lot better on PC (graphics, frame rate, draw distance, etc)

@@mitchthepreacher1512 it should. I did it with switch save and PS4 save all the time. You upload your file to the cloud from the main menu in the game and download it on the main menu on the other platform

@@michaelp.3485 what a bad take. especially considering the state almost all triple A games come out in now-a-days on console or pc. Its not a "linux" issue its a game dev issue. I am also seeing people are having this same problem on Windows through steam as well. Specifically in this game, but yea its a linux issue right? Stop being a hater.

I got this game pretty cheap when it came out and loved it. But it would lock up almost every hour. Game has always been glitchy for me but it was so much fun.

Its a bug with the new EA App, a few weeks they upgraded from origin and most of the games stoped working on deck. Valve and Ea said they were working a fix, but its been weeks already

I picked this up last year on ubi’s store. I had it on the Deck with Lutris back in June/July and it ran pretty much perfect, if a bit heavy on battery drain. I haven’t played it since then though… I wonder if this is just the Steam release or if the Ubi store will have the same problems.

I had this on my switch and was having an absolute blast with it, they really did a lovely job representing the lore of the mythology it was based on. Sad to see that it's having issues but I'll slap it on my wishlist for a later date. Thankfully my save data from the switch version is backed up on my ubisoft account so I can continue where I left off on deck! (when they fix the glitches in the future). As usual, wonderful and informative video Liam, you are my go-to for Linux gaming DIY help.

I've had the same issue on the desktop with the game years ago when it came out. I wonder if the audio desync can be solved by capping the fps at 30 in the game.

It’s better when capped at 30, but not prefect. The latest proton GE fixes it regardless.

The cut scenes have always been an issue on SteamOS, I ended up putting windows on my deck to play thru it. Hopefully, a new proton release will be fixed it so I can play the DLC. Very much doubt Ubisoft will fix it. Highly recommend the game once the issues are fixed!

This game has serious, game breaking, issues on Xbox too. So much I quit playing around level 5 as they just got too annoying. It's a great Game, with horrible QA.

I have this on my PS5. I really regret getting it. Ubisoft is a horrible company, and I never want to buy their games again. It's basically a rip off of Breath of the Wild from a company that hates the people who play their games.

its amazing how games with such simple graphics is that "hard" to run. They geometry isnt even that great, animations are simple. Not sure where the resources are going or maybe its just written poorly.

Bought the game yesterday and booted it up today on my deck. Exactly the same issues for me with the audio, some dialogue repeated and some missing altogether!

Was actually going to buy this game since it was on sale but now won't because of the poor Deck performance. Will wait for it in the future when it has a $5 or below price tag, that would be worth the issues

I think the audio issues were present in the game via Epic launcher as well - if memory serves me correctly (when running on a SD, of course). Happy to see it hit the Steam Deck though...been wanting to play this one for a while, and it's basically just been an issue of time - plus my library keeps getting bigger. Thanks for that Liam! :)

Ubisoft and Care for Gamers with Updates!? Good joke! 😂 I got the game legally back when it was on Ubisoft launcher only. I will try it out now with a Crack. These Launchers fucking up everything!
