@@DavideDavini for me it’s pretty good as I never play games for long and can’t play games on consoles or pc’s for a very long time due to joint pain

Then why are you in the comment section of a video talking about the steam deck, on a channel that almost exclusively talks about the steam deck

Trick I use to squeeze battery life is cap refresh rate at 50 hz, so framerate caps at 50 not 60 which is still great. Some game I still prefer 60 like fps or racing games but for heavy games you can cap refresh at 45 or 50, and that is a nice compromise and saves battery.

It's only really 2 hr battery life for heavy graphic games. I am not really playing those on my deck, I am playing indie and pixel games and emulation.

Some companies (like KSP for example) actually use this early access period to make the game much better because they listen to their players. I'm hoping that this is what happens with this game too. They seem to actively be listening to fans so I have some hope.

It's probably going to be more expensive when it launches to be honest. They make the price lower in its early stages because its not a finished game. I'd suggest buying it and waiting for it to be released

The recommended GPU is a 2070 and the minimum is a 960, with the Deck being I think equivalent to a 1050, maybe 1050ti, so all low settings shouldn't be surprising. I think people tend to overestimate the performance of the deck - yes, it's a powerful little handheld, but it is still a handheld and as such you have to go in expecting that concessions will be necessary and even getting the newest games running isn't a given.

@@davids.9378 Then please be patient. Making games is one of the most complicated things you can do. Optimizing at every level of your development is just impossible. Sometimes you add some procedural actors but some of the elements have too many materials that will trigger too many draw calls or just trigger some overlaps on a collision volume that will constantly trigger some functions.... 🤯 I don't think any of us, game creators, like bad performances, but devs can't check every part of the game at every patch during development of it would take 10 years for the most basic indie creation 🤪
