EDGE to the rescue for those who want to play Halo infinite and Destiny 2, without having to install Windows.

My question now is what is the better way of playing Destiny 2 on the Deck, Stadia or GeForce Now? GeForce Now seems more pro consumer and will more likely will outlive Stadia, but Google’s stream tech is nothing to knock.

@@cliffgoat unfortunately Stadia will be getting shutdown. I don't know why they took Destiny off of Xbox Game Pass because if you play through GeForce NOW it acts as if you're playing through PC (Even if your playing Mobile) and it's very unfair in content like PvP

I just now tried D2 on Stadia for the first time and I have to say, I'll prefer to play with Stadia in most situations since the latency is near non-existant. I just got my Steam Deck today and had to look up a video like this one to see how well it performs on Steam OS. I'll be using Stadia now since D2 won't be heating up my residence through my over-worked GPU!

@@tonysnk7077 Ive subscribed to both and have an active Founders edition subscription to GFN. Its interesting, I prefer Stadia at times, and GFN during others. I'm a bid Division 2 fan, and own the game on PC and Stadia. Stadia's login process is INFINITELY simpler, and times where I've had to re-login to GFN, then Steam, then Ubisoft connect are infuriating when they happen, its 5-10 minutes of lost time when I only had a 30 minute window. Stadia wins in that regard. It isn't really "free", you still purchase games (and controller, potentially). That said, being able to stream 1080p to a potato PC on the free tier is remarkable. I bought Div 2 and all the content on sale for 30 bucks, and some of my most enjoyable moments in game have been played through stadia on my iPad, playing with others who were on PC. Game changing experience. GFN shines at its higher tier, its very nearly replaces a for a gaming rig for me, in that I have access to 90 percent of the games I care about, and never have 6+ hours of continuous play so the playtime cap isn't restrictive for my use. 4k@120hz seems overly optimistic, but 2k/120hz is definitely doable. The only thing holding it back in my case is the lack of ultrawide support, and without ultrawide support, not allowing the app to run in a window so I don't lose all that screen real estate to black bars is annoying. They fix that, and I may well part out my big gaming PC and run with a combination of an M1 Max based MacBook Pro and a steam deck for stuff that doesn't require so much oomph and GFN on call for anything that requires it. Saves my office from all that heat and excess electricity, and I can pay for a year of the service for less than 25 percent of the value of my current 3080 based system.

stadia is much better stadia if it is totally free not like the other platforms in the cloud😉

I hope you can try some games that don't offer a linux version from the Humble Ukrainian Bundle. Maybe provide a list of which worked and didn't work for you.

Bungie ban is only if you try to run th PC version on Steam Deck…this is due to the kernel-based cheat protection that thinks the Deck’s Windows Emulator is a rogue process/potential hack.

There is no cost to use the service, BEYOND the mandatory purchase of your software and expansions. I bought the Witch queen expansion on PC and then realized I would have to buy it again if I wanted to play on Stadia.

Stadia plays Games on Mobile so smooth and very little lag thats not noticeable and its very responsive and so much better Gaming experience than Xbox Game Pass because I tried GamePass on iPhone and it lags like crazy and it doesn’t run smooth
