you should put the fps in the config to 61 and put the limit of 60 fps from gamescope on, since the frame times are not stable.

@@gamingonlinux No the gamescope one will never work if the game is already upper limited to 60. If you want to see if valves limiter is better you need to set the ingame one higher, effectively disabling it.

Gamescope 60FPS limit is on, it's always on right now as the Deck in Game Mode cannot have it turned off. Setting to 61FPS in the config file really isn't going to make a difference on that 1FPS mark.

Man, I wish EA didn’t own the rights. I’d love for a remake of this game in Capcom’s RE Engine, like DMC V.

I tried to play this on my steamdeck and the screen turned black whenever I shrank. I'll need to try changing the settings like this and see if that fixes it.

@TheAkiba91 It's not. It's the resolution. Just go to 720p and this problem disappears. Game doesn't like 1280x800, at least on Linux/Deck. Running the game at 720/60fps no issues now.

I had the same issue, but I was able to fix it by turning off dynamic shadows in the video settings.

I wish I could play this on my Deck. I have the complete collection (origin) and when I go to install it fails due to .net351 failing to install (windows feature needs to be enabled). Winetricks option changes the Windows version to XP and Origin will not run. Changing back to Windows 7 reports the .net351 failure again :(

If you're still having this issue, all you need to do is change the maxsmoothframerate to 60. Keep in mind that there are two that needs to be changed within the properties. After this, make sure you set the vsync to false or else it will not change.

Hi ! I started Alice madness on the steam deck few days ago and after 3 hours of play I lost my save file ! I tried to run the game with proton but It did not work, my save is lost…did u have the same issue at some point ?

This is one of my favourite games, I'm glad it runs well on the switch, thank you for the fix.

Hi, disable post-processing or anti-aliasing in video settings. Black screen results from running both simultaneously. I turn off AA and keep post-processing on, myself.

I wonder on a powerful PC could this be adjusted to 120fps, or higher?

what's the resolution you running on in steam deck, 720p, 1080p? this game looks very nice in 4K on PC.

it worked at first but after around 30 seconds to a minute the files "fix" themselves and the game goes back to 13-17 fps

On my Deck Oled the game runs on 31 fps but drastically drop to 14 during fighting scene. Hope this guite will fix this issue.
