@@gamingonlinux yeah that's not steamdeck specific though. The same issue exists with mouse and keyboard on every Warframe install. Default sensitivity is absolute garbage.

Works out of the box. Just needs sensitivity adjustments, as shown in the video it was impossibly quick by default.

Look and aim sensitivity both have a separate one for controller that you missed

Interesting. I had a hunch I would like to play this on the Deck, and this looks way better at 60FPS (at least Gamescope reports so?) compared to Warframe on Nintendo Switch, or god forbid Surface Pro.

It is 60FPS on average, but the microstutters are pretty bad. Hope it gets fixed in future Proton updates.

yeah the description for this video kinda bummed me out. On steam alone there is a 40,000 player 24 hour peak, so to say no one cares about it or to imply that warframe is dead is pretty annoying.

the tutorial will obviously won’t lag, but if you do the open worlds, like Plains of eidolon, orb valis, and cambion drift would lag and might throttle depending what settings you use. especially railjack, that one really tanks the performance of base 8th gen consoles so yeah. i think normal missions won’t lag, unless you’re using a gpu particle heavy gun. if warframe officially supports the deck i might consider it honestly, and once crossplay/cross-save comes around this or next year.

Hey this is pretty cool, I was wondering if Warframe would work, glad it does. Did you install straight from steam or have to do anything extra? My lazy/effective builds with AoE weapons are going to do amazing work with the steam deck when I get mine (still waiting in queue).

the aim sensitivity issue is the games control settings doubling up with their old steam input configs that they never got rid of. set your steam input profile to a generic gamepad and it should be fine.

In regards to the description and the high stick sensitivity, it's actually by design, Warframe is very movement focused and being able to move the camera quickly is essential. Tuning the sensitivity when you're aiming down the sights is worthwhile but general sensitivity outside of that is pretty well where it needs to be (source: played on PS4 for years before switching to PC and eventually ended up preferring higher sensitivity even though I initially disliked it)

I bet with gyro controls this would be killer. I loved the gyro controls (for assisted aiming) on the Switch but ultimately the poor frame rate and quality made the experience a little lackluster.

Just got a deck. Will transfer my save from Switch to Steam once it becomes available. An important question though... does it have "offline" mode and how is it when doing a sleep-wake cycle? The Switch handled it pretty gracefully (after a couple of patches). It no longer kicked you to the main menu after waking the device up. And it didn't kill the game if you went temporarily went offline (like after sleep-wake up).
