I also read and after some experimentation with my G/F's steam deck noticed it will not run on Deck with native resolution? i had to drop it to 720 not 800.

@@gamingonlinux I didn't either the first time. But after a few days it suddenly started to not load all. Starting the game would only return an error screen with no words at all. This all happened over the weekend. I had to uninstall. Reinstall. Set to experimental and 720... I hope no one else went through it as all her saved game data from the weekend was erased ... It went back to Friday's save.

You don’t really need to touch the resolution as the defaults work and fit fine. I didn’t touch it.

The money goes toward cosmetic items, furniture and the premium currency. Basically you're paying for all the items and a chance to play the game in early access + give early feedback. This isn't the first game to do this.. games have done this for quite a few years now.

The steam deck is really the perfect device for this game, with the Switch coming in at a close 2nd. I honestly wouldn't want this on any other console.

I just got my steam deck i was playing dream light valley but it wont let me get past the part where i type my name. The keypad wont pop up. I have to restart the steam deck to go to home screen.

Steam + X should pull up the keyboard. You should also be able to exit any running app\game by hitting the steam button and exiting in the menu. If the program is crashed, steam + B (held) will force quit.

Just a heads-up that this game is a great fit for Steam Remote Play. I've put over 30 hours into the game primarily over Remote Play with all graphical settings maxed out. I prefer this method when I'm at home as I get better battery life, higher visual fidelity, and less heat generated by the Deck. But it also runs great directly on the Deck as shown in this video.

Just been watching some old videos and came across this and given I have 500 hours nearly on the Steam Deck lone (which is just over half my playtime now) and I am in total agreement about the fact suprised how good Gameloft did. I mean they have basically constantly given the middle finger to disabled players and been other issues I have raised directly and had horrific responses to (which is more a reflection of company policy than game or the devs) however even with all that I am just in love. I am far from the biggest Disney Fan. I am more so now since this game, much more, but I use to play animal crossing basically for pain therapy given I'm bed bound due to chronic pain and this has as good as replacer it and we are still in Early Access. I do think the star path items make it hard if you like to decorate and Disney to not spend money (assuming buy the currency when the game is free) however the star path doesn't actually cost much for 1 and I have actually gained way more Moonstones than spent for free to the point I have nearly £100 worth I believe according to the rate on xbox in my account so I think if people play a little bit daily (how these type of games are meant to be played) to get the blue chest and complete the star path (which gives you some of the inital stones back) you should only need to buy 1 or 2 paths.

so it's animal crossing with Disney, how can it beat animal crossing, well if steward valley can do it maybe it's not that hard

I just changed from Switch to Steam Deck. Switch the touch screen works fine, steam deck is doesn't work in the game. Works outside the game fine. Is there a setting I'm missing?
