People like Nintendo are just outdated a holes all around and attack their fans at any opportunity they're given. Amazes me how people keep giving money to people that actively hate on them but, hey, everybody is free to be a complete idiot. The others are just boring locked down boxes I don't care enough to research and comment on.

Those are established hardware companies, while valve is still very small in the hardware space. Valve will just be like them when their hardware division grows as big as them.

Wouldn't it be hilarious, if after decades trying to sell the Xbox in Japan, Microsoft gets surpassed by Valve on the launch of the Steam Deck? Even if it was just a couple hundred units more, I would still be laughing.

Great to see the design journey. I think they absolutely nailed the ergonomics, compared to my daughters Switch, it's a dream to use as an adult.

I thought it was going to be an ok ergonomic experience and instead it fits my hands perfectly. I think this might sound weird but I feel as excited using my SD as I did when I first used the gamegear. I know its not even the same thing but I got that same "the future is now" feeling.

I'm a sucker for those enormous scale controllers/consoles esp. when their buttons etc. actually work. I saw a Sega Mega Drive one a while ago and it needed two people just to operate it!
