It is now thanks to Valve. Linux gaming in itself was its own crutch. Too many things that didn't cater to the average user. Valve has made it into a console like experience and for those that venture into the Desktop there has been a lot of new content made to cater to it for the Steamdeck. I do hope Linux continues to grow nonetheless.

I don’t mind the gameplay of these games, but the super low budget mobile game look is off putting. I’m waiting for one that actually has effort put in.

I think the visual style to all these vamp likes is definitely part of the charm. Wouldn’t feel the same with the graphical level you see from big studios

The genre has a couple of names but the best so far is "Bullet Heaven" , as the main character is giving a bullet hell to the enemies.
