how do you know the atari vcs is going to get delay again it has not happen yet if it got delay again that will make everybody upset i hope it does not get delay again i would be annoyed if that happen please don't say it will be delay again be careful what you wish for because it might just happen i don't want that to happen and i'm really looking forward to the atari vcs because i'm a atari fan i'm so excited about the atari vcs i love what they are doing i also love the idea too i don't care how it turns out i will always support atari no matter what happens

I wouldn't worry too much about the gloom at the start. Regardless of how you feel about the service (and whether or not it will work out), Google's Stadia will necessitate a large collection of games be ported to work with the Linux kernel to run on their service. That is of course for the server end, but if companies like Feral will be commissioned for those ports, it shouldn't be a great leap to make a normal, non-google, Linux client. And feck me, the numbers on Proton are increasingly lovely nowadays. Linux gaming is already a success, and will probably continue to be, it's just that it won't be on the strict terms that we seem to have defined.

Sad to hear about Paradox, they've had Linux support for ages for pretty much all of their published games and this news is rather disheartening. I understand that, for instance, it makes more sense for Empire of Sin to support consoles over Linux, especially with what I understand is a rather small development team but it's still a shame to hear it's something they'll consider less and less. Thankfully, as you mentioned, this may not necessarily count for PDS, and I'm guessing the game they're announcing at PDXCon will still get Linux support.
