So does the Denuvo DRM prevent this from being played offline? Because if so, that turns this from a "looks cool" to a "not buying". I often play SD on the train & need my games to work if there's no internet.

it depends on the game tbh, but generally you could possibly need to have an internet connection after updating the game or changing some hardware of a pc, since you're playing on deck the latter one is not a problem

I use Xbox cloud gaming on the deck and I love it. Microsoft has directions on how to get it going and it's very straightforward

Personally I'm not willing to dual boot windows just for gamepass. Services are supposed to be convenient right? If MS can make it more convenient to use gamepass on Linux (not streaming), I'll subscribe immediately Hell I'd take a "lite" version of gamepass made for steam similar to EA play on steam. Maybe just have MS published titles on it?

That streamer mode will be really handy in the future. If some of the record labels decide they no longer want their music in the game tango can just switch streamer mode on permanently instead of removing the game from sale.

I have seen that this game uses denuvo. I would like to know if there are any issues with that. For example with offline play. Offline play is important for me, since i am not allways in wi-fi range.

For everyone interested getting this on deck and beeing worried about denuvo (i was). Bought it to test, booted in offline mode and it works. Would have refunded otherwise.

30€ for a PS2 era game is a bit steep, especially when the character movement has so little fluidity and the animations are so dated. I was looking forward to a rythm "no more heroes" and was woefully disappointed.

@@samcandlesEasy, Travis is 100% more relatable and interesting and the dialogue issue much more forgivable due to the backstory. And that's before even addressing the mobile phone like playability of hifi rush. If I wanted to play a poor man's version of devil may cry I had many options... But hey, don't let the MS money sprinkled over YouTubers get in the way of a good circlejerk, it emulates the 2000s PS2 spirit competently so why would anyone have any aspirational criticism when the game safely opts for a throwback...

@@lytwerq it’s a form of anti-tamper software that a lot of devs use nowadays to prevent people from hacking or pirating games. This software requires the user to have an internet connection to play the game most of the time. How frequently depends on the perimeters the devs set.
