Its the lower overhead draw calls on DXVK after switching to Holoiso I noticed my SFFPC with R7 5700x and 6700XT runs about anywhere from 9 to almost 22 fps faster in most games than they were in windows. Proton is like magic in a lot of titles so ready to ditch Windows all together only thing holding me back is browser stability and Destiny 2 not currently being supported at all.

Really wild this game runs at launch when it barely launched for windows machines for some people. Honestly the last thing holding back me switching to Linux, is Discord not supporting streaming audio on Linux. There are supposed "community fixes" but theyre unstable hacks that can get your discord account banned so they arent valid. Really annoyed Discord still isnt supporting Linux fully

Discord audio streaming works through Chromium on Linux. Run the web app instead of the desktop app.

If you care enough to fiddle with it you can set up JACK audio server in a way that lets you stream audio. Since JACK lets you reroute anything, you can make a special sink that your game uses for output and then make a sink that takes input from both your mic and that game sink, and also make the game sink output audio to your speakers so you can hear the game yourself. The only limitation is that for the viewers the game audio will be mixed in with your voice in the same stream and they won't be able to adjust these volumes separately like they would normally be able to.

Nice how well it runs! Sadly, I get random crashes while playing :( (using AMD) Kills my whole window manager haha, I have to assume that every window I have open when I launch the game will get killed :P

@@gamingonlinux I did! Using 6.5 currently. It stinks because I can't seem to find anyone else having crashes still - everyone says it runs flawless. i've tried mesa-git, various proton versions, nothing seems to work. I'm also struggling to run it through gamescope - for some reason, it won't capture my cursor (I tested gamescope with other games and it works perfect so I think this is a starfield issue specifically)

Did you update your kernel to a recent version? Should fix the hangs.
