It has friendly fire, which is pretty uh on-point for Starship Troopers...it has character class levelling to unlock weapons and extra stuff.

Why cant more game developers start off with a goal of making their SHOOTERS work at a minimum of 60 fps ? Thanks for doing the video. I am not computer gaming at this point of my life, but I do want to keep up with the list of pretty good games to play. This does look like a pretty good game to play.

@nicholas Overall, let's demand games not be broken on launch. :) As for optimizing for the Steam Deck, I don't think 2 million units is enough for developer consideration. Valve should be hitting 2 million units in the near future.

Its an early access game, optimization usually comes last and for good reasons, you dont know where are you going to need optimization until everything is lay down in the game. Optimizing first will be a waste of resources/time.

ill probably still pick it up even for just the Deck after all it is in Early Acess and will likely improve with future Proton releases I mean until recently Forza Horizon 4 was virtually unplayable due to crashing after a brief time but the latest Proton release seemed to fix it

I don’t do any special tweaks at all on desktop, pretty standard KDE install. No Gamescope that’s just MangoHud.

Just as a note, crashes instantly to desktop when trying to start the intro cinematic. Intel Arc A770 on Linux kernel 6.4.0-0-rc1 with mesa-git. So if you're a glorified beta tester for Intel Arc under Linux, I would hold off getting this game for now.

I love PvE games and this looks incredible fun. I migh hold off until it get better optimisation (especially for the Steam Deck) and I want to see if the devs are comited to continue supporting it with regular content.

im not sure how much this would help since it still struggles on the lowest settings and not sure of any of these would at all: 1. the fantastic plug-in on decky allows u to change the fan curve which might help with the temps if thats what making it slower. 2. have u tried with ge-proton and/or cryoutilities?. 3. theres a plug-in on decky called power tools which ur able to change the governor to performance. 4. have u gone into ur bios and changed the minimum amount of ram the gpu can use to 4gb? changing the swapfile(basicly pagefile on windows) to higher then the 1gb thats default on the steam deck to 16gb(its what cryoutilities sets it when selecting default on that program) which will give the cpu more "ram" to use when allowing the gpu to have at least 4gb of the ram
