#StarWars #JediSurvivor just had patch 7 released, and the developers noted it included some performance improvements, so I decided to take a look and see if it was actually getting close to playable on #SteamDeck now.The result is surprising! FSR3 is not meant to be used at low framerates, it will work but the latency will be extremely noticeable.

@@jonneymendoza Origin works on Linux. If you own the game on Steam, Proton handles all of that for you. If you don't own it on Steam then you need to use another tool to get it working.

Almost there! Whenever a game is dropping a bit I usually set the screen to 56Hz running the game at 28fps... It isn't a massive drop in frame rate and since it perfectly aligns with the refresh rate and you gain A LOT of consistency. I quickly get fooled that I am running the game at 30fps. even more so than running the game at 30fps with dropped frames.

It is still complete ass on PS5 -- it hits 60 solidly now, yes, but the jank & tearing & pop-in to get to 60 is even worse. Go to the river in Koboh and have fun having a seizure.

Is this FSR 2? While I don't mind lowering settings (game looks good enough on low imho), I'm really not a fan of all that noise that FSR is adding :-/ Petty the game is sooo demanding. I enjoyed fallen order a lot and can't really understand why I played God of war on SD with nice performance and visuals but don't have any options to get something similar out of Jedi survivor...

Amazing this can be played at ALL on a handheld device, I love the Steam Deck it's not suppose to be a high resolution, 60fps powerhouse. So imo this is pretty impressive. :O)

No proton. A nexus mod helping performance a bit. Cryo utilities. Fidelity/FSR? Quality. Im having luck in a playable experience. Im just a bit into Jedah. Doesn't look great nut it is playable with minimal crashes.

Use cryo utilities and set your deck default VRAM from 1 to 4gb. Still won't look great or hold consistent 30fps but I have played all through Jedah and no crashes. Since I made those changes.

It still doesn’t deserve to be rated yet though, not even “Playable” as it still has too many drops. And further testing showed some cutscenes still have bigger drops too. But hey, it’s good progress!
