Think Valve is right to be cautious in general, but I think they should definitely explain what they mean by text being "too small". Is there a specific size they need most text to meet, or is it arbitrary? Also, a cute looking game! one to keep an eye out when it comes out I hope :)

I've very quickly started dismissing Valve's verification rating after getting my Deck. Quite a few of the games I have installed work perfectly well out of the box and yet are marked as "unsupported". I find ProtonDB to be a much better way to tell whether a game will run on the machine, especially with the Decky Loader plugin.

They've gone from being way too generous with verification (leading to complaints that borked games were verified) They've now gone to (arguably) overly cautious. I don't mind that tbh, since it does make the deck accessible to "noob" users (people expecting a console-like experience where games marketed to you are 100% supported) without much fuss, and the "power users" can use protondb for an "unofficially supported" experience. That being said, I wish the protondb plugin would show ratings for store listings, because right now it's only for library titles, which is fine but I normally want to check protondb before buying a new game rather than confirming a game works from my existing library...

Watched a dev talk about vavles rating system, lot of "playable" for games that has hard to read text is because they test a couple different languages when supported and if one fails the readability test then it only gets playable.

I do have to agree that text should have three sizes but it's not recommended to play Steam Deck with poor eyesight as it can lead to permanent eye damage or blindness. Buying dock with monitor or tv screen should be the best way of handling small text.

Whoa! When you zoomed out and it showed the walking colossus I had no idea that was the spin on this game, the title makes more sense now ha. Have you tried Against the Storm? Incredible city builder, though not sure how well it plays on the Deck.
