One of the better games come out of Finland. Bugbear is the studio that made original Flatout 1/2 games too. Funny seeing Finnish game running on "Finnish" operating system.

Steam Deck does a really good job with racing games. A few I can vouch for: NASCAR Heat 5, WreckFest, Hot Wheels Unleashed, American Truck Simulator, Euro Truck Simulator 2, Monster Energy Supercross 5, Bus Simulator 21, MudRunner, SnowRunner, Starlink Battle for Atlas, No Man's Sky and Lawn Moving Simulator. I play Forza on Xbox, but I hear good things on Steam Deck.

Welcome to wreckfest. However - bugbear have since the beginning not been good with QA, theres a plentora of bugs still in it thats been raised years ago. The overall experience varies heavily - and no, the lovely 00's start menu does not just appear first time. It will reappear each time youve been on another rig. Many of the ols maps will really requrie you to run it on at least medium, they are a.. wreck. Turn grass off - it tanks anything.

Have wreckfest on both series x and steam deck. Love steam deck version more because with added steam workshop mods there's near a hundred of awesome racetracks availed, plus custom ai.

"Steam deck fix". This is only steam deck or it's a linux general compatibility fix? It confuses me if a developer says "steam deck fix" if it's specific to the deck or is for a proton/linux fix.

I find the game fun the only complaint I have with it for me anyway was the fact it’s meant to be a demolition derby type racer but I always found if I smash into other cars at the start I literally can never catch up for the rest of the race so it takes away the feeling of going for some big hits as for me the race is over and you can never win from that point

How do I get controls on the Steam Deck? Only the keyboard is displayed in the game and I can only make changes with the mouse over the docking station. "Keyboard" is set in the game settings and I can't change it!
