It's weird this was my experience as well, but what I don't get is why in World Tour when you fight 1v1's why does it take a hit if the normal arcade mode runs 55/60fps with default settings? I understand when it's in open world mode and you are walking around because there is a lot going on, but during fight it's the same as the normal arcade mode just 2d fight so what gives?

Digital Foundry did an analysis, and the console version runs the World Tour battles at 30 FPS as well, so I think it's a cap Capcom set for some reason in World Tour mode.

Not true. Running windows 10 on the steam deck there isn’t any slow down on world tour mode for street fighter 6. Capcom needs to patch this.

Are fights locked to 60fps with your settings? Anything less will actually be a detriment to online play in more ways than one.

The main reason I wanted to move back to PC gaming (and thus bought a Steam Deck) was to be able to play competitive fighting games using DIY controllers, which with every passing console generation are becoming less and less viable on consoles. I have since decided SF6 is not going to be my game, but that aside, the Deck is fantastic for fighting games. I am half tempted to design some kind of bracket to attach to my fightstick so that I can mount the Deck on it directly — would give me a great way to warm up on the train on my way to tournaments. A part of me really hopes someone comes out with a new "Steam Machine" commercial product, running SteamOS 3, because something like that would be a fantastic platform to run tournaments on. (Just need to convince some of these Japanese developers to allow EAC on Linux…)

As with ALL fighting games. Wait until release. As online can be hit or miss. You will want to see how the Steam Deck handles the online stuff.

I've just unsubscribed from 2 other Steam Deck channels simply because you are the only one who has highlighted the areas that don't run well. I am so tired of Steam Deck gameplay vids that showcase only what runs well, or a tutorial level, only to discover later that performance takes an absolute nose dive. I base my Deck purchases on videos like these and these are the things we need to be seeing. I cannot fathom why everyone doesn't do this, who does it serve? Thank you.
