game is honestly really fun to play. also the creator the main dev dont even want money for it or know that he's the one that makes it. its really cool. he could easily get 2 bucks for the game but wants every one to enjoy it.

Patreon with art is not allowed, but selling doujinshis - yes. Besides, Cover themselves reached out to him with offer of monetization, but he refused.

Yes, these are the type of games I would pay for! Simple but advanced, not made for the monetization but for the fun.

Before this game was on Steam, I used it as my test for using Proton on non-Steam games and got addicted then. When I switched to the Steam release I lost all of my progress. This is not a complaint, I am enjoying replaying everything again.

I love Holo fan community. This dev worked on River City Girls dilogy and Shantae. Idol Showdown is a good free fighting game with the same vtubers. Fans spent 2 years on their game, and now doing more free DLC with new characters. 2 platformers, 4 fighting games, 1 kart racing game in development, and around 190 already exist. But how many songs and fan animations? You can't count. Even dev of this game is animator in the first place (for games and anime) made a ton of cartoons for his favourite vtubers. Just write "Kaynimatic" or "Kay Yu animations".

Vampire Survivor and it's ilk are a bane on sleep! Why is it 4 in the morning already!?!? More please! ;)

4:00 trust me, a ton of us want to give Kay Yu money. Based on Hololive's fan-creation monetization policies, he is free to open donation pages etc. BUT he has specifically stated on Twitter that he does not want money for HoloCure as it would taint the fact that this is a passion project through and through. Kay Yu really is a great guy.

The great part is, this game is still going to be updated with New Patches! Which will include More New Characters from Hololive JP Gen 3 (there are total 6 Gen in Hololive JP, and recently there are new Gen debuts from Hololive EN branch & Holo_DEVIS, so this game is FAR from reaching its end), New Stages, Casino in HoloHouse, etc.

One small correction: the "play button" is based on the HoloLive logo, and not the YouTube logo. Onto the Steam Deck slow down issue: it barely affects the stage mode, typically only the last 30 seconds before the final boss feels a bit laggy. (Mature certain to disable the damage numbers to improve the experience.) However Endless mode runs (which are frequently used to generate larger amounts of coins to unlock more content) does suffer quite a bit, becoming unplayable at times. Even so, I've been able to make it pretty far into endless mode runs, which has slowed me to generate enough coins to unlock nearly all the content (there's only 3 things i haven't unblocked - and those aren't coin based items). I think the issue is more likely an issue with the Game Maker engine than it is the code of the game itself. As for supporting Kay Yu, he is a game animator, so you might support him by buying other projects he's been involved in, like River City Girls.
