I ran this (on Linux Mint), and it installs and starts up great - but it doesn't appear to be updating. I'm running the exe from last week and can't log in due to them having updated the game today. I did NOT grab the image off of github - is it worth trying that to see if it helps? Soooo close to having my glorious WF back which is amazing. Thanks for all the great work.

forgot to enable CSMT in the wf.reg for the install, in lutris for warframe go to wine configuration>staging and enable CSMT for a texture and performance boost.

Well I installed it last night and it (mostly) worked which is amazing! The only issue I had a was lack of sound (which might be an issue on my end). I've got steam and other wine games - have been on crossover for a while - and they all have sound. I didn't bother focusing on that last night - had to ge the supra vandal from event!

EDIT: new script approved by lutris devs, run new script installer to fix the issues hey bud I actually updated the script today -and am waiting for the lutris devs to approve it.- Warframe had an update today and I found a bug where the updater doesnt update warframe.exe. it's corrected but im awaiting the devs to approve the new script. also they released 0.4.9 yesterday so as long as you have 0.4.9 and the new script gets approved you'll be in the clear. the new script also has the warframe official launcher working correctly, updates the game before the launcher runs so that the official launcher only updates warframe.exe and doesnt hang during full updates, AND allows proper resolution and screen mode changing.

Hey, loved the guide, easy to follow, got everything installed properly, but when I go to actually launch the game, the update screen displays for a second before giving me a "your graphics card is not supported" screen. I'm using antergos with an AMD RX 480 for the GPU, and it runs in windows (ugh) so did i do something wrong during the installation process? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm not quite sure, I haven't tested it with AMD as I only have nvidia. there is a way to make wine identify your graphics card, not sure if it would work

few things to try: right click warframe in lutris>wine registry navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER-software-wine-direct3d change VideoMemorySize to 4096 if that doesnt work: right click warframe in lutris-wine configuration go to the applications tab set to windows xp go to the libraries tab add these two entries: *winhttp - native, builtin *wininet - native, builtin

try disabling lutris runtime. in lutris right click warframe-configure-system tab check the advanced settings box at the bottom check the disable lutris runtime box

Hey man, what de wm are you using? Also how did you remove tearing. I am having so many issues with tearing on my 980ti. I dont even care if i have to completly redo my arch install to get it working. I need my tearfree goodness. Also im running a 3 monitor setup. 1 144hz monitor and 2 60hz monitor, all of them 1080p.

After following everything you have said. Im still getting tearing. Do i need to install nvidia dkms? Iwe added early KMS setting. added the hook. edited the mkinitcpio. run it. Installed openbox and mate (to test if your config works tear free). But it doesnt. Any ideas what to try next? EDIT: I GOT IT!!!!!!! I ENABLED FORCE FULL COMPOSITION PIPELINE IN THE NVIDIA SETTINGS AND NOW EVERYTHING IS BUTTERSMOOTH WITHOUT TEARING. THANK YOU SIR! THANK YOU!

I don't use comption for openbox install obconf and openbox-themes obconf allows you to choose themes for openbox, my theme is called spacedust for mate install dconf - you need this to change the wm from marco to openbox in dconf navigate to /org/mate/desktop/session/required-components/windowmanager turn off use default value, put openbox in custom value for my icons I installed paper-gtk-theme-git and paper-icon-theme-git from the AUR then set them via mate menu-system-preferences-look and feel-appearance

OMG THANK YOU. You are a lifesaver. Iwe spend over 3 years fighting tearing on my main 980ti pc. Iwe tried every single thing in the box, but never modesetting and kernel stuff. Iwe installed Manjaro, ubuntu, gentoo, arch and so on. Iwe had it as a project to get completly away from windows and all things with it. Your channel is a lifesaver and i dont know what windows games on linux would have been without you <3

Iwe finnaly moved propperly to linux, but when i launch league my pc is forced to run 60hz. Any ideas how to stop that?

Howdy! I'm doing fine up until the "easy" part ;o) I click the warframe install link (14:34) and the responding page has this on it; "The address wasn’t understood." I'm guessing that it's a firefox + other software problem, but since you look and sound pretty smart I'm going to ask you about it. Does lutris come with some kind of browser integration that i need to configure? Maybe Firefox is a bad choice, they seem to be a lot more protective than they were 10 years ago. I think that the link thing is pretty bad ass and I'm willing to spend extra time to figure it out vs installing a different way - thanks for making it. UPDATE! I found Midori and problem solved. It was sweet buttery goodness after that. I have an older laptop with a 460M and it runs ok, very playable. I don't have sound so I'll have to figure out directX9 - thanks again!!

I got a problem with the windwos instlal script for warframe. I installed lutris as you have and ran the install script and all went well BUT the black boxes didnt come up to download the warframe files and it just popped to the finished progress and well, is this script broken ? I tried it on antergos, obrevenge, makulu linux and none of them the script showed the downloading black box for warframe, so basically I jsut had a broken warframe folder without the actual downloaded files ....

I did an update to the lutris install script over the weekend that hasnt been published by the moderators yet. You will need to wait for this to be published before running the install script. the new script does not use the black boxes

Jakub Kurchan The same happened to me and I edited the line _ping -n 10 __0.0.0.0__ > nul_ in Warframe-Launcher.bat to _ping -n 50 0.0.0.0 > nul_, but that number depends on your internet speed really, the slower it is, the higher the number should be.

I can't get the warframe launcher to show up though. When I launch the game, lutris shows "Preparing to launch Warfame" for a short period of time, then "Playing Warframe" and a moment later "Game has quit". No windows appear during this time. Do I need to install some additional dependencies for wine or something like that?

theres no black box on the new installer. if you read the prompt, it says the warframe launcher will sit at "checking for new content" for the entirety of the install. just let it do its thing and it will eventually complete even though there is no progress bar

Thanks! I did that on my previous installation of arch linux and it didn't work for some reason, but now it works flawlessly, or at least that's what I would like to say. Sadly my Warframe installation process completely skips the actual black box Warframe downloading part and shows "Installation finished". Do you have any idea what to do?

I'm trying to install this on OpenSUSE Tumbleweed and I ran into two problems. The first was that .msi file wasn't being downloaded for some reason and when I ran the installer in a terminal I saw that the script wasn't giving my shitty internet connection enough time to do it. I changed the ping count to 50 and the updater was downloaded and ran just fine. Now, you said that the updater wasn't going to show any progress and the behavior was exactly that here too, stuck in this screen https://prnt.sc/g5wk2s (third try, by the way), but I noticed that my network activity was down to zero https://prnt.sc/g5wkx4, even though the updater was at 10% CPU usage, which I think that tells us that it should work. Any ideas? edit: Also, running in a terminal always ends up in a _wine: cannot find L"C:\\windows\\system32\\winemenubuilder.exe"_ error

It's my second time using Lutris, so I don't have much experience with it, do you know how can I run the install script in a terminal? if its updating the loader will stay on "checking for content" the screen you have is a directx failure. did you use the installer that says "windows installer"? this is the correct one. don't use the dx11 installer

thanks! at the time of the video i was on a 6700k and a 980 ti currently im now on a ryzen 1700x oc'd @ 4ghz and a fairly new 1080, although i'll be returning the 1080 if i can get a vega for the right price

hey I got a problem,im using antergos amd r7 m265 and the open source driver (amdgpu) . I installed Warframe as same as steps above and when I started game for first time the launcher started well made a small update then bang a message "your graphics card is not supported,if u think its an error then restart Warframe ". so I quitd and strtd again now the black box appears ( updating file .bat ) then automatically the game end . so wat can be the problem shd I switch to properiatry drivers or anything ? any help is awesome plz ;)

i just subscribed and will be using the script to run warframe on mine, can you please help me with something else? i need to create a script to run Trove on Lutris but i'm having some issues since this is my first time trying to script a game. Can you help me create it or send me a guide on how to do it?

I have attempted the install via Lutris and the script at least 3 times each and the launcher says "Update failed! Some content updates could not be downloaded from our servers." even if I just start the install, leave it on the preprocess, and wake up in the morning. It's driving me nuts and I have no idea why it refuses to work. I'm on Arch Linux. I make sure to sudo pacman -Syu every day and have my system in a stable state before attempting the install. I'm trying again right now, and I have a couple little things I plan to try, but I doubt it'll succeed, although if it does I will edit this comment with whatever fixed it in case someone else has the same freak issue.

So, I had some other issues and ended up having to reinstall Arch. On a fresh install here's the exact progression I took on the install. The exact message received is "Update Failed! Some content updates could not be downloaded from our servers." Every time I restart warframe now I see Preprocess 0/7895 complete before it, instead of completing the preprocess, goes directly to the Warframe launcher and fails to download. try it the non lutris way. lutris currently has a known issue with executing terminal tasks in install scripts that causes it to hang

On PoE, did anyone test? I just have the game crash on the plains.

sorry but the launcher now requires this because it keeps track of MD5 checksums in order to make future updates properly. Once it does this the first time, further updates will only update files which change as needed.

-edit- sorry I havent updated the lutris version for language yet. the steam play/proton version in my git repo works with language setting. if you open updater.sh and change -language:en to -language:some-other-supported-language it should work
