I am not able to get Back 4 blood beta to run? Ive tried proton experinment and proton 6.3-5. The game lauches but stays on the loading screen for a few mins and then pop os wll ask me to kill it or wait because it is not responding. Am I doing something wrong here?

@@PeakKissShot Thanks, it worked, for anyone else still having problems, you need to install Proton ge. Ge stands for Glorious egg. It is a different version of proton. It needs to be installed directly from the GitHub repository. Once I did that the game worked fine on my machine. There was some minor choppiness on higher settings but idk if that was because of my system specs, or the game being in beta. Over all definitely playable and enjoyable.

My only guess is that it isn't actually working right now as it's in Beta but when the game is fully released and EAC is fully implemented it probably won't allow you to join servers

not throwing money but you got an anime background ;), It is all good. Btw, I saw that cpu and it is still out there. Is it working with vaapi_hevc though? Also, 1080p 60fps recording is not great. Would love 1440p 60fps recording. I know the rx 6800xt can do 1440p 60fps recording, I even tested it once and recorded a video of a game play.

Maybe they have EAC set to a kind of 'low protection' mode for now while the game is in beta? Not sure. Hopefully though this is a sign that EAC is gonna be no longer an issue for most games...

A friend gave me his beta key and I saw it used EAC and about threw a shit fit. I switched to GE 6.14 and it worked like a champ. I had to launch it twice though.

So strange.. it only seems to work with 6.14-GE-2, from what I've tested. I tried Experimental and 6.3-5 but both froze a few seconds after launching, eventually telling me it wasn't responding. Neat that it works with yours though.

Iirc Apex Legends also used EAC and used to work on Linux with no problems for a while after launch. Sadly it was quickly patched.

Now I know the voice behind the guy who does his best to avoid me on Discord :) ....So 5700G won't do 4k60fps encoding? :( EAC loads in Squad and MortalOnline2(in EA atm) but most times you must manually copy the EAC files from windows over. _(you can also manually http download them off EAC servers if you know the game ID)_ This game looks exactly like Left 4 Dead....

Really happy to see EAC working in linux. Also i noticed your FPS while in the sign in screen for Back 4 Blood was at 1k There has been some issues regarding Usage when New World came out. The game would cause really high FPS on enthusiast cards causing high wattage spikes and tripping voltage protection on many cards and blowing inductors. This is mainly effecting EVGA FTW cards, but i want to let you know
