install it through lutris. create a desktop shortcut to it from lutris. add the desktop shortcut in steam. unfortunately there is currently no known way to launch it directly (like you could with d3 or WoW)

Hope you are doing well friend. I was trying to decide if I should go for Nobara or Regata for a gaming partition. I am still sorta on the fence, but am leaning to Nobara. In Nobara is there a default/easy way to install icc profiles? I'm colorblind and use icc profiles for my daily driving on my monitors for ease of use. In Regata the lack of Gnome Color Management (removed since dependencies were no longer in development) made it more complicated. Thanks for your time and good luck in your future development!

Gnome color management is available in Nobara.

I was stuck for a very long time on the part after I closed the installer. But I walked away from the computer and just trusted it would do its thing and eventually it did. The work around seems to work (around) perfectly. Thanks!

dude, you are the goat. I had to do this and it was INFURIATING cause a month or so ago I was playing WoW just fine and it borked on me yesterday. Though it was user error and did a fresh install of bazzite and it was still borked. Even after updating lutris it still did this. Thank you! (I'm new to linux and I've daily driven it for over a month now, it's my first hiccup

He truly is a GOAT, I switched 3 years ago now and never looked back, happily using Fedora KDE! If you don't know there's an application called proton-qt that lets you easily install GE's version of proton, pretty nifty. GL out there

Currently having the exact same problem. Nobara 42, everything is updated etc. AMD CPU (Ryzen 5700X3D) and GPU (9070 XT). On an older motherboard (ASUS Prime Pro x470). No idea why. Everything else on Lutris works just fine. The Launcher than hanged itself on the login screen (lol). Ending the process still showed it as running in Lutris. Will restart my PC now and hope that works... EDIT: Had to reboot my PC multiple times because bnet would hang and not terminate cleanly. What fixed it: Installing ProtonGE 10.3 and configuring the launcher to use that instead of letting it default to WINE. Thanks Glorious Eggroll.

Is anyone having the issue where you log into battle net and get "The blizzard agent fell asleep, trying to wake up" and the launcher never loads? I've watched a few tutorials and no one seems to have encountered it.

@parkythepancake2173 The only fix I've found is to just get yourself a VM that can run HS. Otherwise, I can't help you much brother. I wish I could come back with a crazy easy fix, but nope. If your PC can't handle running a VM your best bet is to start dual booting.

This is still going on in OCt 2025. Hangs @ %50ish. Me being a boob thought nothing of it other than thsi is my fault since i dont know what i am doing. Windows user since MSDOS....linus user for just over a year and only used part time ...if that. I will try this

For anyone doing this in the year of our Lord 2025, my issue was that I was connected to a VPN and my wine versions were out of date. Disconnected from VPN and updated wine in terminal, and this worked for me!

Faugus works like lutris did but does not anymore

Update: A workaround has already been implemented to fix this on the lutris side. If you are still hitting this issue make sure lutris is up to date and that the location you are trying to install to does not already exist.

im not sure if ge-proton10.4 is default installed in lutris, i manually installed it because i use it for steam, its glorious eggrolls proton version you might need to install it seperate or try one of the regular proton versions

Early june 2025, battle net doesn't install correctly on lutris on bazzite. I got the same issue and will try the tweak.
