It took a long time to get the correct AMDGPU-PRO packaging and libraries sorted, and to get an actual encoder IN OBS to properly support it, but it's FINALLY here.Here's the PR request patch for OBS:https://github.com/obsproject/obs-studio/pull/7206Here's how to get AMD AMF setup on Nobara/Fedora (OBS is already patched):https://nobaraproject.org/docs/obs-studio/enabling-amds-amf-encoder/The author of the OBS PR request was on Arch and I worked with him to get the driver packages sorted on the Arch AUR side as well, so that should be available soon.  This means the AMF encoder can now work in OBS on all Ubuntu, Arch, and Fedora based systems.As this is a 4k60 recording, please note it was done on a 6900 XT. Results may vary on lower end hardware.

Yes, you can. Software runs with whatever driver you tell it to run, so if you tell OBS to run with the pro driver using VK_ICD_FILENAMES, then it will run with those, and you will have access to AMF.

0:07 Yeah for some reason I can only get AMF H.264 to appear here. No idea how this I lost HEVC but it never worked anyway. (6800xt, streamfx, amd-amf driver) Hopefully sometime someone can release a functional non-broken AUR for ALL OF THIS to work.

No, Resolve does not have AMD AMF or Intel Quicksync encode, not even the paid version. The only hardware encoder it supports is NVENC.

Looks nice, tried your Nobara OS and it fails for me after updates. System boots to the desktop but all USB devices except mouse and keyboard are dead. No network, cameras, flash drives, etc.

If you are using a system with hybrid graphics (a laptop) you need to type "DRI_PRIME=1 vk_pro obs" to start obs with the AMF encoder

RX580 is only showing H264 AMF. But no H265. However GStreamer VAAPI H265 works fine. I remember having AMF H265 on Arch Linux fine, I recently switched to Nobara37 but here only AMF H264 shows. Any ideas?

Yes but you need the libamf, libencdec, amvlk-pro, and firmware from the latest drivers, this is configured as an easy installer in nobara
