I can't believe this game runs this well. This was my first run of the game, any stutter you see is shaders compiling/pipelines compiling.
Hardware used:
CPU: Ryzen 2400G
GPU: Radeon RX 580.
RAM: 16GB Geil DDR4 3000
Motherboard: ASRock AB350 Gaming ITX/ac
SSD: WD Blue 256Gb NVMe
HDD: 1TB WD Blue 7200rpm HDD
Capture: Magewell USB Capture HDMI Plus
Drivers: llvm-svn + mesa-git
How:
All I did was installed Origin on Lutris, enable DXVK in the configure settings for it, run it, and then installed BF1. Easy.
Recorded with VAAPI plugin in obs-studio-git + usb capture device.
Settings are on ULTRA!!!

What's the difference from the DXVK Shaders and Pipelines Compiling or are they the same thing?

DXVK has a state cache. This is a set of instructions that tells DXVK how to compile pipelines for future runs of the game, rather than having to figure it out every time you run the game, and is driver independent. Video card drivers have a shader cache which is also used, which is driver specific and usually resets when you change or update your drivers. Games use both the state cache and the driver shader cache together.

How did you get the latest Origin update working in Lutris? It's been crashing the last week or so.

Not sure if this has any effect but I run mesa-git with glvnd disabled since it fixes Dying Light. Install llvm-svn and mesa-git on arch. Afterwards install my noglvnd versions of mesa-git: http://www.gitlab.com/gloriouseggroll/mesa-git-noglvnd http://www.gitlab.com/gloriouseggroll/lib32-mesa-git-noglvnd like i said, no clue if this actually helps, but origin worked without a problem for me.

works great, been using it for years although the pba patches offer comparable performance and work cross-vendor, so thats less of a hassle

I cant even get origin to install on lutris. This game is literally the only reason I have to dual boot mint and windows. Any tips?

what is your problem with origin ? which distribution are you using and GPU ? try to install it manualy , if you get a login loop you need to install corefont. if origin don't start with dxvk you need to install vulkan for your distro/gpu. sorry for my english

I don't mean to be late, but since the release of BF1 on Steam, I was wondering how the game would perform under Proton.
Also, would it work on my PC?
Here are my hardware components:
CPU: i7-3770k @ 4.0GHZ
GPU: Dell GTX 1070
RAM: 16GBS DDR3
DRIVER: 450.66 (This is my current Nvidia driver, but I do update it whenever a new version comes out)
OS: Linux Mint 19.3 64-bit
I know I'm asking for a bit too much and you don't even have to respond... But seeing a video of how BF1 runs under Proton would make me a very happy man.
Hopefully you read this :)
Also, keep up the EPIC Linux gamer videos! Thanks.

@@GloriousEggroll Thanks for responding! Means very much to me. I might as well just get the game if you say so.
