Here's a neat workaround for having lutris,magnet and any other protocol working back on Firefox: Go to about:config and search for network.protocol-handler.expose-all double click it to set it to false click on the "install" button on lutris page, firefox will ask if you want to open with lutris, tick the "always do this" and accept switch back to the about:config tab and set network.protocol-handler.expose-all back to true

try to configure from lutris and set a different wine version to run it as a temporary solution, also, you should try playing the game using his wrapper, you find it on github. Unfortuntely this kind of issues happen and without some debugging the causes can range from zombie wine process to god knows what

in your game.cfg put x3d_platform = 0 under GENERAL, also try with x3d_platform = 4 (you can't change this while playing). Did you install with lutris? nvidia has pretty neat propertary drivers. @gloriouseggroll i'd like a chat with u on a discord

If you've already run the lutris script in the video yes. In a nutshell: 1. Copy your existing Riot Games folder somewhere 2. Delete "League of Legends" in lutris 3. Run the lutris install script on the website 5. Right click LoL in lutris>browse files 6. Open drive_c and paste your Riot Games folder Then run the game in lutris

you dont have to uninstall/reinstall regularly, the reason we did that here is because we had to upgrade wine from a very old version to a very new version, so a lot has changed with wine, and a lot had to be changed in the prefix for the game because of it.

Thanks for the guide, I just needed to go on wine configuration and make a profile for the exe set to Windows 10.

I play on LinuxMint and for some reason LoL is Laggy af with PlayonLinux. When I play on Windows I usually get 140-180 fps at the higher graphics config. Will this method fix that?

lutris works fine on mint. lutris has nothing to do with wine game performance. lutris is a wine prefix manager just like PoL. neither of them have anything to do with actual game performance. game performance is controlled by wine/wine-staging itself

it's working fine for me. I just logged in and played a match with no problem.

when I change video settings it crashes with bugsplat and i cannot start the game again. so i'm locked out for reverting the settings. It runs fine with the default lowest video settings. I jsut shouldnt touch it I guess

I was getting a periodic stutter for a few seconds here and there until id tab out and back in. I fixed it by doing the following: 1. run winecfg for the LoL prefix, in lutris just right click lol and click wine configuration, then go to the "Graphics" tab and check the box that says "Automatically capture the mouse in full-screen windows" then press OK 2. Turn vsync off in game 3. Run the game in fullscreen or borderless windowed mode, I also used High settings (not highest) This kept my framerate from periodically dropping/stuttering. Keep in mind if you have a crappy gpu, its still probably going to drop no matter what.

depends. if your gpu is a potato there's not much you can do. otherwise: turn off anti-aliasing and vsync in game, restrict fps to 60 in game, and in wine configuration under graphics tab check the box that says "Automatically capture the mouse in full-screen windows"

Steam and Dota 2 run natively in linux. There is no need to run it through wine.

Guys, the game run awesomely fine after i installed with lutris, but I have one issue. If i'm connected to the wi-fi network at my house, i cannot authenticate and log in. I have to use my cell phone as a hotspot or usb tether to actually play. Any hint on what is going one?

Im running on Gentoo, would it work if I get wine-staging and get it via lutris? or would I need some extra stuff?

because of the render method PBA uses, the framerate is much more stable with less variation and has less dips in team fights. just my experience, have tested on both amd and nvidia. I feel the performance is better than gallium 9 also.

i already know about it. and yes it works, but you're limited to the wine version installed on your system. with lutris you can use any runner/wine version. wine-pba 3.3 works way better.
