Tor1919 People are curious and want to see how well it compares. I mention that it has been out for Windows for a long time so the results are expected, just how fairly does it compare? I wanted to see the results as well tbh and maybe you did, explaining why you're here? :P

Eric Vlasov They were both Windowed as I run triple screen, so makes it hard to do fullscreen 1920x1080

Jakejw93 - Linux Gaming i see. anyway, no game runs in exclusive fullscreen mode (more like in borderless mode) on linux even if it's set to do so due to some complexity dealing with window managers (explanation coming from Vavle). so i presume, performance would be even greater if you ran the game in real, exclusive fullscreen on windows.

Jakejw93 - Linux Gaming it's a shame since compositing in full screen can be disabled, and that means more fps in the linux games benchmarks.

Olleinid Epilef Same camera, not sure why it was doing that tbh, maybe it was positioned slightly different, no idea :P And define a "real Linux distro" please :D

Blood Guns and Honor Wtf are you talking about buddy ? OpenGL is just as fast as Direct3D when it comes to rendering graphics ... The only problem linux has right now is nvidia being jackasses and not optimizing the linux display driver to get the same performance as the one on windows .

Borgilian Not true, linux handles thing differently and the way that it does causes a graphics bottleneck so no amount of optimization is going to really make a difference. linux just cannot handle it. i like linux and i want it to succeed but its dated it needs a entire new kernal to progress any. and thats not likely to occur/

chris kennedy Yeah I know about that ... what you're describing is XORG , not OpenGL having performance issues .... . Nvidia could easily jump on the wayland bandwaggon and help develop it along with optimising their display driver , but they won't ... . Even better , they could help with the mesa development .... again , they won't .

chris kennedy And it doesn't need a new kernel .... Optimizations ? Yes . New kernel ? Wtf did you drink buddy ?
