Looks like it. But the good news is that I managed to build 2.5-staging and have some results to share... the sad thing is that it's not really much of an improvement over 2.4, so sucking out a commentary on it, is pointless. I'll upload a video soon though if you or someone wishes to see how it runs on 2.5-staging.

Installed wine2.6 non-staging with a clean prefix, but even steam won't properly open there - slow as all hell. (we're talking about 20min to open steam Library page) I didn't find any indication of such issues online however and there are no errors present in the debug output. Brrrh, I'll try some more but I think we'll have to wait for staging 2.5/2.6 as without staging patches, it'll probably not still render stuff properly. But I'll update if I get 2.6-non-staging working properly with this.
