At least you get that far, on AMD drivers the game doesn't even start. :( The Steam page should be more clear that it is not a "linux release" it's a "steamOS and Ubuntu release" (Edit: Ah, I see the date you posted this. In any case, the video is still accurate lol.) 2nd edit: I had my volume muted, now I hear the Rick Astley, lol. Good memes

I am using the Mesa drivers in user space and AMDGPU in kernel space. I forgot that this was a Vulkan-only game. I had AMDVLK installed, removing that, my system reverted to using the RADV driver included in Mesa. Now the game works fine using AMDGPU-all-open/Mesa RADV.

Using the R9 Nano, however, I have not encountered any problem on ubuntu using either drivers. Perhaps it is an issue related to your distro. Good day and sorry the game does not work for you.

"AMD graphics cards require Mesa 17.3.5 or later. If you need to update your drivers, we recommend using the Padoka Stable PPA." - Rotr Steam store page. You need to use the mesa drivers not the amd open source or proprietary drivers.

Yes, but it does not work with AMDGPU-ALLOPEN+arch+rx480. There is a bug in the game which prevents it from launching. I will probably just refund the game. I hope you are having a good day.
