This is interesting to know, I wonder if the Singapore variants of the C1 would have this issue as well. Anyway I'd like to ask if you have experience any form of temporary image retention while working in windows for several hours? There are some C9 owners who uses the TV as a PC Monitor for work too and have spotted image retention after a few hours working in windows.

Hey, thanks for dropping by! I have not noticed any temporary image retention on the panel at all. It might be due to the fact that I use very low OLED brightness on the panel whilst doing work and comm in SDR... and my windows are organized in specific portions of the screen using FancyZones - so it's kind of hazardous as I don't move the windows around that often but yeah, so far no image retention, not even a temporary one. One thing though which might be a factor is that I run almost everything in a dark theme (including web) to conserve the subpixels even further and well, have been using global dark themes even with LCD panels, so it's just something I'm used to. Have ran the burn-in/retention check videos a couple of times after long hours of usage and even with those varying images, luckily nothing worrying so far. 🙂

yeah would be great to have it. I also have c1 and the option is not there. The counter would be just an approximation since I have screensaver set to 1minute (to show blank black screen) so it would count as "tv on" time but ofc the pixels are off

That's true as well indeed. Though, I noticed that with my current work laptop setup (using the C1 as an external monitor), the laptop doesn't support more than 30fps@4k, so the screensaver doesn't produce perfect blacks and still have some light emitting from the LEDs... not great, not terrible, but luckily I tend to lock the screen when I leave the station so the "no signal message" pops up in 1min anyways with the perfect black background. 😅

I believe you can access the power time in the secret menu. Google how to access the secret menu for your TV and see if that works.

Yeah, been through a lot of the hidden menus on C1 but no luck so far regarding that. If you know one which was already not covered in the video (https://youtu.be/dnUUAZY9HnQ), please do let me know so I could update the video and credit you for the discovery. 🙂

That is interesting... now that they're no longer part of the EU, maybe it's just the EU models which have it removed? Hmm, most interesting. Thank you for the insight! 🙂

If I'm not mistaken then you can call LG support and ask them to log into your TV (TV need to be connected to wifi) and tell you this information. Not a perfect solution but better than nothing.

Thank you Foris for this info! From the last time I spoke with my local LG tech rep, I don't have any real faith in them that they could do that. I would think that your local reps would be more technical. 😄

Thank you KPD! This is excellent info to know... so it's definitely not for US-only models as both India and UK are reporting the feature under TV Information. Interesting.

Thx for the video. I live in Germany and I can’t find it but I wanna know because my TV asked me to do Pixel refresher… so, people say we should do after 2000 hours … that’s why I wanna that information… but I think may be it’s a time I have to do it coz we have this TV over a year and never seen this question before.
