@@W1lly.W the problem is, if you leave the gallery images on the slideshow, you risk a chance of degrading pixels (of course, this would take an eternity to do so or at the very least feel like it) LG done the right thing with the C1 by even taking colour out of the bubble! They're that keen on making sure the red sub-pixel construction stays as it should be, that, even on something as seamless as the no signal image - is now black, white and grey! Of course whether you turn this on or off is entirely down to your user preference but it's a smart move in the long run!

This no signal is the most retarded option on this expensive TV. I get that it shows the message initially, but let the customer decide to turn of the message so only the art is showing as Screensavers. Baffled this hasn't been implemented after 2,5 years of complaints.

Glad to be of service and thank you for dropping by! Unfortunately I don't think that there's a way to remove the no-signal text. Clearly, it's not perfect this way, but at least it should stress the panel a bit less than the big gallery pictures.

@@eg7034 Hey there! Unfortunately there seems to be no way to simply disable the "no signal" text, so it's either the gallery or a blank black screen but the text will remain there. There is a separate "gallery" app for showing off the panel I guess, but that doesn't fit for a solution. :(

Hey Griogair, how's it going? Unfortunately the text will always remain there which is quite terrible. The only way to get the gallery without the text is to actually launch the Gallery app on the TV but that's not what this is about. 😞

Yes, with the latest firmware, you have the option to hide the "no signal" message by pressing the small red button on your remote ".". The downside to this is that the message seems to return every time there is no signal detected, making it pretty useless having to click an extra button every time the signal is lost.

@@roevive I’d already disabled this in the settings and had therefore hidden the gallery too. When the latest update 0430.10 came out, I couldn’t figure out why I was unable to press red button, to make no signal image disappear, as the images where already disabled, solution was to enable the signal image back on, that brought the gallery pictures back, and then simply press the red button to remove message and leave the images to be displayed fully, thanks, appreciated…
