Nice beard and in conclusion the camera is good for streaming but the price is to high especially with some step backs to the camera the little light is ... Not a good source of light especially streaming at night. (not like other cameras on the market) mi opinion is that price should be lowered to the 100 or 140 range.

Hi Kallestofeles, Thanks for the great vid - your voice and format are very professional. I', torn between the Dell Ultrasharp 4K and the Brio. Can you possibly offer your thought on my worries between the two:- 1) The Brio covers a good area of monitor past the bezel. The Dell has no such worry. 2) The crappy mic in the Brio. I was planning on buying a USB Elgato Wave 3 or a Blue Yeti X Pro to ensure top audio (within my budget as a home user). i'm not creating YT content but like the idea of a good mic. I'm worries about sync delays if my mic isn't part of my webcam, like the Brio. Do you see any issues with a Dell Ultrasharp and a Yeti staying in sync? 3) The dell seems to teeter on top of a monitor and seems top heavy - any thoughts on this? @@kallestofeles Thank you VERY much for your detailed and comprehensive reply! You've taught me a lot about sync as I would not have realised the low light compensation could cause the issue. I'll keep an eye out on that when I get a webcam. I have just bought a Blue Nano in a rare beautiful gold colour (rare in Australia anyway!). It is a work of art and it will compliment any good webcam I'm sure. The bigger blue was just too big for my desk and th cardioid in the Nano is all I need. Thanks again - have to say I'm still torn between the Dell 4K and the Brio, both excellent cameras. I may have to go Dell as that silly foot overhanging the monitor bezel is just something I cannot visually reconcile. They both seem technically MUCH more than adequate and no doubt either would be a win. We'll see. Thank you again, reviews like yours are worth gold to punters like me :-) much appreciated Kallestofeles!

Sorry for not responding in a more timely manner, been busy with the family. 🙂 1) Indeed, the stand which comes with the Brio is not really usable with monitors that have very narrow bezels, hence the reason why I have to keep it lying on the desk. It does have a screw hole for mounting it on top of a tripod/stand, but that's more of a workaround and not a solution. 2) The mic quality of the BRIO, is crappy as you said. I would definitely pair it up with an external mic. The sync issues then start happening (between webcam and ext. mic) when the webcam has to do a ton of processing on the image (low light compensation being the main culprit) and fails to keep up real-time. I haven't had the chance to test Dell Ultrasharp, but that was also one of my main contenders for a webcam to get. Generally speaking, sync should not be an issue if you have enough light in your scene and can disable the low-light compensation to keep the image processing on the webcam as real-time as possible. With BRIO, when I have tested recording the audio externally and have disabled the low-light compensation, I have not had any sync issues so far. 3) Ultrasharp definitely seems to be heavier than the BRIO, but whilst looking at the images of it, it shouldn't really be top-heavy as the anchor point to the display is pretty up front and majority of the weight seems to lie behind that balance point. Unfortunately I cannot guarantee this, as I don't have the webcam, but that's how it looks to me based on the images of the camera. Though that being said, when the camera would be placed high up on a display, say like the 48" OLED, and be pointed down really aggressively towards the user, then I can certainly see where the concern is coming from. Sorry that I'm not able to provide you with more detailed info on this, but I hope this helps even a little. Cheers!
