I bought my C1 OLED TV based on your review videos, it's been around 6 months since I've had it using an i7 10700k with RTX 3080TI with my PC. I used to have an ACER X34 monitor and I can tell you that when I switch to LG OLED C1 I will never use monitors as a screen for games again, I use my PC for work too (office/email/internet) and it's the best thing in the world to have a 4k screen to arrange windows and work with different applications at the same time on a 48" TV. Many people are afraid of not get used to the size, I particularly love it, I sit at a distance of 1 meter from the TV and it looks great, I fixed it directly to the wall. For games it was the best choice of all, I've never seen any monitor of the Alienware / Acer / Asus type manage to beat this TV in terms of image quality and even with the Gsync + 120Hz feature it was decisive in my choice. Thank you so much for your reviews of this TV being used as a monitor for old games. Today I'm playing Call Of Duty 1 (2003) on it in 4k with several graphic MODs the game doesn't even seem to be the same game as 2003 it was amazing, fantastic. I activated Reshade in the game, put Raytracing to work, it's a change from water to wine.

@@Kliptrech26Rg001 to be honest, whatever works as every game engine trends to look a bit different with different AA options. Even fxaa had found some use with CAS albeit producing a blurry mess without it. 😅

@@kallestofeles Thank you very much for the information I will look for it in the SweetFX collection, currently I have used SMAA + FXAA in Call Of Duty 1 and I used the Marty Mcfly plugin for sharpness as a way to increase the sharpness, I will test it here with CAS and let you know notice the result. What antialiasing have you used with CAS that has had good results?

@@Kliptrech26Rg001 the AMD CAS filter is part of the SweetFX by CeeJay.dk collection in ReShade. It's been bundled with the core software for a while now, so you don't have to go downloading any additional plugins. It's not for everyone, but if you pair it up with some sweet anti-aliasing, the end-result can look absolutely brilliant... given that you like sharpness. 😉

@@kallestofeles I don't remember using the CAS filter, can you tell me which group of filters within the RESHADE it belongs to? Maybe I've even used it and I don't remember the name. About the 48" size I adapted so easily coming from a 34" monitor that I never want anything smaller than the 48", good enough to watch a series or a movie in bluray "rip" straight from the PC with maximum quality, I've been downloading my favorite series in 4k and all the movies in 4k too, I discovered a fantastic channel on youtube that teach how to calibrate the LG OLED C1 TV that helped me a lot the channel is called QUANTUM TV, he has a "patreon" system on the channel that allows access to all the calibrations he makes, they are amazing and fantastic for those who use it with console, even PC, the value is very simple U$5.00. If you allow me, I can leave one of the calibrations I use with my PC just below if you want to test it. About the reshade filter that you mentioned I am very interested in testing I am waiting for your information, very grateful.

I absolutely agree with you, it's the next best thing since sliced bread and probably the next big upgrade for anyone looking to get a better visual experience whilst gaming. I am absolutely torn whether I will get a 42" model with a display port later down the year though given that AMD GPUs just cannot implement HDMI 2.1 on Linux or will I stick with this C1 to see how far can I push it on nvidia... Now that I've grown accustomed to 48" and love the screen real-estate for work, I'm beginning to have my doubts whether 42" 4K might look a bit too small... I mean the text size at 100% scaling as I don't want to compromise on usable desktop real-estate. On another hand... well, I won't find out until I get one. 😅 Anyways, rambling again. Thank you for the comment, I hope you have fantastic time with the C1 and whilst using ReShade, definitely give CAS a go, it's a god-sent amongst sharpening filters... especially when you're a heretic who goes above 1x whilst manually typing in the values. ;)

I have a 3080ti and I have learned to live with all the quirks that this monitor has. Brightness changing even when everything is moving, noting nothing with this RTX gimmick and this monitor, not so bright HDR, re-starting the TV while in-game to have GSynch enabled so it shows the real refresh rate, seeing myself on the TV screen when everything goes black but I also learned from you not to worry on the burn-in that many are all afraid and enjoy the TV while it lasts (I won't live forever and the TV neither), no dead pixels or ghosts so far. BTW I prefer 60 to 80 fps in games full sharp 4K than 120 on vaseline smeared graphics using either DLSS or lower resolutions.

Hi, what did you mean by restarting TV while in game to have gsync enabled? Isnt g-sync turned on from nvidia control panel?

I'm running the C1 with a 1060 and it's going pretty well for about 8 months now, but yep VRR never worked. But I simply don't need it, I bought this TV specifically for oled motion pro/BFI, which doesn't work with VRR anyway. I use good old vsync instead. The C1 is the last OLED panel that can use BFI at 120hz which looks insane, and none of these new displays 10:30 have this feature, not even the C2. The only real issue on my end: impossible to create custom resolutions running at anything other than 60hz, I get a green or black screen if I try. I assume this is a quirk of running such an old GPU but if that's not normal I would really appreciate someone tells me about it, thanks.

Hey Kallestofeles, it has been more than a year, are you still using your C1 as your primary PC monitor for both windows productivity and games? If so, may I know how many hrs have you clocked in and if there are any signs of burn in?

@@Emptrix correct. Same window placement via fancyzones but sometimes when there are only a few windows to show I just throw them up wherever. Also either turning the TV off or to blank screen mode whenever I leave the computer, so there still is some babysitting but given that I only expected the panel to last me a year or so, I am very very pleased and surprised by the OLED longevity. If you're considering getting the C-line from LG then get last year's model with a good discount. There are no really relevant changes to PC+gaming usage since the C1 model was released.

@@kallestofeles Thanks for the response! Your usage in windows is also the same as seen in your previous videos correct? Hidden Taskbar, auto screen off when idle, black screen wallpaper etc. If so I'm very likely to get one myself! 😄

Heya! Yep, well over 2 years now been using it as the primary monitor for work and pleasure. 7-9h a day and it still looks as good as the day I got it. There are a few more dead pixels but that's about it. Luckily they're also along the edges of the screen so not that noticeable with dark themes and in games. Sadly my unit does not show the screen on time hours, so everything is a rough approximation. Also I run SDR at 45 brightness and energy saving set to auto - I have decent light control in the room so there's no need to blast the brightness. For HDR it's all maxed out ofc but HDR is a rather infrequent visitor to the panel. If there's anything specific I could tell, ask away. 🙂
