You look like me I build PC with ultra highend hardware to play old and retro games on monitor screens or highend tv, i love your Channel, I have a curiosity on the LG C1 48 model, if you set the resolution to 21:9 in games that have the HDR option can you use the tv at 21:9 with HDR turned on and also "gsync" turned on?

Great video! I remember playing the demo back in Fall 98, ran like dog shit on my P1 166Mhz and no hardware 3d accelerator! Are you using some kind of visual mods? Or just he resolution fix/edit tool? The effects and lighting look enhanced...is it?

This video is such a gem! it deserves so many more likes!! HERETIC 2 is more than i could possibly remember from childhood, this game kicked my ass hard pretty quick and it has remained with me throughout time. this is how this game should be played, in 21:9 and 4k baby!!

I love this Heretic 2 my dad & me did finish it together in 200x . It a good dark fantasy 3rd-person shooter (My mom did taunting dad of play brutal game with children / But mom it funnn) . // I did birth on 1993 may 11 so today my birthday .

I made the mistake of playing on hard mode after coming back to this game after a decade or so, and I had to give up in Andoria. Playing a third person shooter with no ammo just isn't fun; maybe I'll try it again after I beat it on normal.

This game was AMAZING

When I played this as a kid, I found this complicated and in awe as to how much realistic chorvus seemed and moved. How he jumped and scary the first level seemed with their cries of children in the background. Moving later chorvus felt like a beast as he got powerful. Good ol days man.

Good review! Just beat it. Thanks for showing the manual as I was able to read the lore behind the game by pausing the video. Hard to find any scanned images of the manual on line. You are right it’s one of the games that you would want to play from the late 90s. Saw the amazing screenshots from the advertisement in Gaming magazines from the 90s. Played it with the latest patch and updates that the community made for the 25th Anniversary. Game looks amazing with the particle effects and the lighting for its time. Probably the second best looking game from 1998 after Unreal. Great level design to boot too. Glad finally finished after first starting it in 2005.

Nah. What you do instead of save-scumming is simply learn how to pole-kick for cheap one-shots.

loved this game when I was younger, preferred it to Heretic and I Loved heretic.

Regarding difficulty, the ammo starvation issue was actually only introduced in Raven's 1.06 patch. Before that, enemies on hard mode had the same health as normal mode. However, you can still play the pre-patched difficulty by launching the game with the console command "-skill 2". Which I would highly recommend for future playthroughs.

​@@rataphract9174 launch the game with the a shortcut or batch file or cmd.exe with the commands "-skill 2 +map ssdocks". or start the campaign, type "skill 2" in the console, and it will be applied in the next map
