From your desktop, open the Terminal application. In Terminal, enter the following line of code: echo performance | sudo tee /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu*/cpufreq/scaling_governor Press the Return key. You will be prompted to enter your password. Enter your password, then press the Return key. Your power settings will now be set to "High Performance" mode. Close the Terminal application.
