Yep it's horrible without Lutris. Infact I managed to get it running with normal wine, tried it a few days later and it wouldn't even launch. It breaks way to easily.

this is a huge hackjob, this game has so shitty launcher. you are better off using Lutris with thisone, i wont even start to explain how i ran this.

Try setting your WINE to mock Windows7 (or up) and turn on DirectX10 and 11 in the launcher options. DirectX9 crashes since a specific version of Warframe.

Hey there. I've actually tried this game with DXVK, and although the FPS is pretty incredible, I'm suffering from input latency that I didn't have without it. Do you have this too? (The latency might be very short with your high-end GPU)

I had it working wonderfully until they dropped directx 10 support , after that point on i have not been able to get it to work. i get the game in a position where the launcher works and it displays the play button in red, but after i press play , the launcher goes away and then after a period of some time the crash dialog shows up. i would wish to diagnose this issue but i can not or do not know how to obtain the necessary information that may or may not be provided by the crash report that is sent but not visible to me. i might not have a fancy degree in computer sciences but i'd like to think i know my way around a good problem if im capable if gathering information.

@@xpander69 this has been across several re-installs of my entire system. i'm a bit of a distro hopper XD the prefix has been very well nuked and recreated several times over. I finally found some info (it took me a while but i knew it had to be there somewhere). it appears the games is experiencing a general protection fault (at least from what it says in the logs).

you are commenting on super old video. I do not have the game installed atm, but judging from proton db reports it still seems to work for people. so i guess try to remove the old prefix and let it create a new one. https://www.protondb.com/app/230410
