1080Ti but that doesn't even matter as it's barely 50% in use. Game is CPU bound heavily.

@LinuxPlayer9 will keep my eyes open for sales then. Dunno if I really want to play this, used to play it in wine back in the days quite a bit, but would be nice to have this game digitally. I'm quite sure most of my old dvd/cd collection of games are unreadable anyway, at lest orange box dvd had dark spots on it, haven't checked others

@xpander69 can't seem to find that runner version in Lutris that is in the video description. Is there a guide you would recommend?

@xpander69 no idea. I'm in the process of changing distro, deciding between, Ubuntu 19.10, Peppermint 10 and Manjaro. My latest Peppermint installation has broken after the latest updates, so I'll be installing Lutris from wherever the latest source/repo is

@PapaLeech89 which version do you have. looking at lutris.net i see "D9VK 64-Bit + arcdps version last published 1 month ago , last edit made 1 month ago" thisone should give much better performance. Now it all depends ofc what CPU and GPU you have, but CPU mostly i guess unless you have really low GPU. this game is not threaded enough and requires high singlethread perf and high frequencies.

@xpander69 I've got Lutris, but haven't had a good performance compared to the gameplay in this video. Cheers

For new users, its best to use program called Lutris, it takes care of all the configurations for you. head over to lutris.net - but if you really want to do it manually then yeah you can google it. basically you build or grab the built d9vk dll's, run a script to hook them or manually put them into game folder and set overrides on winecfg. winetricks you have to install the package on your distro and then just its a matter of running WINEPREFIX=/your/games/wineprefix winetricks d3dx9 for example
