i have bf 1942 or was it 1944, somewhere on the old discs, but i dunno if they work anymore and i dont have CD/DVD drive on my main computer, but laptop has :) i think i have bf2 also somewhere. will check it out

This game is so nice and its working perfectly for you. But on my pc, its running graphics problem. Tried to install evry patches but nothing works.

@@xpander69 Yeah, problem is with GPU driver. I have an inbuilt Intel graphics card and there is patch available for fixing it, but unfortunately it doesn't install. The version I have is not from Gog or Steam, its from somewhere else. But it was working perfectly under AMD gpu. I have tested it with other Intel gpus and all of them are having problems.

what exactly? maybe GPU drivers? or your farcry is older version? i have gog and steam version both and they seem to work the same

I assume EAX won’t work on Linux. But yay it’s run because I just installed a Linux Pop OS and so far everything is just better than Windows 10 which nearly destroy my pc with the update

EAX was creative and realtek soundcards feature only iirc. I dont have any of these cards. and not sure wine can emulate them at all. I remember back in the days i could use it, but it was more of a stupid gimmick imo, just added overdone echo for the audio on some locations etc. I might remember wrong. But yeah unless someone has implemented emulated EAX, i dont think it works.
