I run it on Linux and Rust is equally beautiful on this OS. Interestingly, my old Radeon HD 7870 GPU with the latest open source driver (padoka dev ppa) provides a better framerate of around 40-60fps in average, than a GTX 1060 (3GB) with the latest 384 closed source drivers (30-50fps). Settings 900p, windowed, "beautiful". CPU: FX 4100 oc'd to 4.4GHz. Similar story in Dying Light, only the difference is even bigger in favour of the old Radeon with about double the framerate when fully maxed out at 900p (except for the dips in some areas of the games which still renders dying light unplayable with opensource Radeon). But up until the parkour training the Radeon works incredibly well.

Nice. nvidia driver pulls more from cpu somehow, so that might be your problem, FX cpus are quite weak on singlethread perf.i run it all maxed 1440p with 55-70fps mostly. at 1080p it doesnt drop below 80 fps, mostly around 90 area

Do you know if i have to play on Linux to use Vulkan ? cause there is no such option for Windows.

vulkan doesnt work yet. At least not on linux, crashes on startup with it. you can use the steam launch option -force-vulkan to try it out yourself

yeah that didnt fix any performance issues. have to wait to next month it seems, every first thursday of the month they do a big patch and vulkan rendering should be available then in March, i will test it then

wait what? no it was Early Access and it launched somewhere in 2018 out of early access, but it gets constantly updated. Unity engine still, getting updates etc
