May I ask you why are you using the zen kernel? Do you see any benefit?

Xpander69 actually I asked you because I remembered this test https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=linux414-lowlatency-liquorix&num=5 and since liquorix shares many things with zen it shouldn't be much different. If you can do a video it would be interesting.

Congratulations for the nice video. May I ask you how are you getting such a smooth animation and crisp image? I am playing version 0.4.11 on Linux Mint 19, with an i7-4790 and a GTX 770, on a 1440p screen, with nvidia drivers and gsync on. If I select 1440p resolution the game crawls. It's unplayable. At 1080p, it's much better, but far from good (far from your video).
The only graphics-related options are: before launching choose resolution (as I mentioned) and choose "quality level"; and within the game, select AA level. I have tried all Q levels and all AA levels, and I can't see much difference in neither image quality, nor performance. My image is "foggy", colors are kind of washed out, so contrast is horrible (individual objects don't stand out from background, for example), and effects relying on some kind of gradient (such as smoke or shadows) tend to go from 0 to 100 (as if mist were solid).
Any suggestion would be highly appreciated.

don't worry, framerate wasnt great for me either, it was smooth but low fps, i think around 30-45 fps mostly, its obviously not optimized yet

Respect my 770 man! :) Of course you are right, but I have played Torchlight 2, Borderlands 2 or Shadows of Mordor on 1440p with respectable fluidity and image quality. Last Epoch might be more demanding than TL2 (maybe), but not more than BL2 or SoM, I'd imagine. However sub-par performance is expected in pre-alpha software... I'm just impressed that you run it so smoothly (or underwelmed by my own results). I'll check the Full RGB thing, thanks!

first of all, performance. GTX 770 isnt that great for todays games at 1440p, even 1070 can struggle sometimes at that resolution, then also this game is in alpha and not really optimized yet. About the washed out image, that might be related to your DP or HDMI cable or check your nvidia-settings if Full RGB is enabled
